Really so much qq, I'm surprised after all this time people still act shocked when it does happen. At least they(community reps) found out what was said and did eventually post about it.
I would be upset about the na community not caring more about a mysterious message that no one saw before and dismissed as quickly.
lol they were stuck in the back of the bus in the whites only section of the hall where it was hard to hear. Plus they were in the middle of, you know, currently talking at the moment on the stream. Quit making up conspiracy theories about The Man-aru trying to keep you fantasy oppressed.
Hi guys just been to first vw fight. Can some one tell me what the call outs are e.g. fire 1, dagger 3, extremly, and so forth
If you have the Periapts that give weakness hints. Fire 1, for example is "Vulnerable to Fire Elemental Black Magic", so fire blm 1. Fire 3 is "Highly Vulnerable to Fire etcetc", has a higher potency and restores all temp items. Fire 5 is Extremely Vulnerable. Caps all percents, and recharges all temps, has a white !!. If you do a Fire 1, for example, during a TP move or when it's casting, it becomes more potent, same for 3's. Except an enhanced Fire 1 will restore all temps.
Mobs in VW fight have weaknes that you can stagger.
If you buy some Ki you can get hints what those staggers are.
Fire BLM 1 means one of the lowest tier stagger is some fire BLM spell.
Thunder BLU 3 means one of the middle tier stagger is some BLU thunder spell.
Great axe 5 means highest tier stagger is one of the Great Axe Weaponskills.
There are always 4 staggers tier 1 (I think) and 3 staggers tier 3 ( i think). When you hit any of them its replaced by another random one.
Tier 5 is always one and you can hit it only once per fight.
thank you I think i have it lol
Where did the 1/3/5 thing come from? Seems dumb, why not 1/2/3?
I believe it originated from when it was still unknown that proc'ing while a mob is casting a spell or using a TP move yielded a stagger that recovered all temps, and gave a unique, boosted alignment with the spectrum. I think people were under the impression that there were actually 4 levels of procs originally:
1: NQ stagger while mob is not casting spell/TP
2: NQ stagger while mob is casting/TP
3: HQ stagger while mob is not casting spell/TP
4: HQ stagger while mob is casting/TP
But instead of knowing that the spell/TP move were the cause of the trigger, people though they were just another tier of staggers.
I heard it was due to the dialog for the JP, where they get 1/3/5 exclamation marks at the end of the stagger message based on the quality of the proc.
I've heard both Wardeniii's version and also this:
In the JP client, instead of saying "Highly Vulnerable" it says "<vulnerable>!!!"
NQ = <vulnerable>! = 1
HQ = <vulnerable>!!! = 3
EQ = <vulnerable>!!!!! = 5
edit:
Multiple Choice (Parameter 1)≻[/!!/!!!!]≺Prompt≻
is the same line as
The fiend appears ≺Multiple Choice (Parameter 1)≻[/highly /extremely ]vulnerable to ≺Multiple Choice (Parameter 0)≻[/fire elemental /ice elemental /wind elemental /earth elemental /lightning elemental /water elemental /light elemental /darkness elemental ]≺Multiple Choice (Parameter 2)≻[/white magic/black magic//ninjutsu/bard songs/blue magic]!≺Prompt≻
So yes, the !/!!!/!!!!! thing is correct
I figured that was it. Freaking JP's, when's the last time we listened to them for naming conventions? The 1/3/5 thing means absolutely nothing for anyone that isn't Japanese.
Oh well.
(don't mind me i just like ranting)
I think its more convenient for lazy fucks (majority of people it seems) / people with fat fingers. atleast if someone writes "fire blm 2" you know its a typo, whereas in a 1/2/3 system, if someone types "fire blm 2", and theyre too lazy to correct it because "well the blm's should proc it anyways if its a 1" and all of a sudden priority shifts over to that because everyone thinks its a HQ...
My only problem with using numbers, be it 123 or 135, is that my mind sees "Fire 3" and thinks of the spell fire3 -.- but then again I just started doing pickup vw's (sigh) and I'm just trying to resist as best I can.
Minor news, had a Qilin pulled on top of mages so was trying to pull hate to move it, managed this:
BG Wiki page says he's immune, suggest modifying it to "heavily resistant" like normal Kirin, for what it's worth.
