Any tips for the slime in tier2 bastok path?
Any tips for the slime in tier2 bastok path?
just another fistule w/o pets but highly damaging aoes
bring 1 PLD and 1 NIN to tank would be best
damage depends on smn/blm as usual (not rng as it resist physical)
We used 2 sams with 3 blms magic bursting for the bastok slime. Made it pretty much a joke.
Some more results for people interested in drop rates. Each line is one fight:
Virvatuli - Nothing (~300% red, 525% blue)
Pancimanci - 3x Impatiens (capped lights)
Pancimanci - 1x Impatiens (close to cap, don't remember this one)
Ogbunabali - 2x Pipilaka Belt (close to capped)
Lord Asag - Nothing (close to cap, don't remember)
Akupara - 2x Deluxe Animator
Voidwrought - Voidwrought Plate, 2x Strendu Ring (capped lights)
Voidwrought - Nothing (capped lights)
Edit: 16-18 people present for each fight.
14 x3 woidwrought today.....
3 rings all capped lights :X
the body drop rate is getting depressing......
Our group got a Mextli Harness on our first Hahava. In three kills we got the Mextli, 4 or so Masks, and a Hahava mail. Was something like 14 or 15 x3.
We redid the pixie and behemoth last night for a few peoples' stratum abyssite. Both decided to have 1-2 only magic weaknesses the entire fight, and the rest ws / ability. We only got to 120 (270% total) on the pixie and 140 (290% total) on the behemoth, yet still got a dagger off the pixie and a shield off the behemoth, so its still possible to get drops at low lights.
I'd filed a bug report on the temp items changing, but it seems obvious now that (S) zones just get a different, crappy set of temps. I'd also filed a bug report on the blank special attacks weaknesses, which will hopefully be fixed while they have their emergency maintenance today.
Just to be perfectly clear here:
For Voidwatch you want to proc as much as you can get am I right? And highly vulnerable weakness only proc once then changes to a different weakness? So people should not have to worry about "OMGZ noes don't proc same thing twice, lower drop rate guyz!".
actually as far as i can tell all weakness proc once, and then change to something else...
you kinda want to proc as much as possible, but most people typically aim for red first, since it supposedly improves the chances of rare items appearing. blue comes next since it also increases your odds of getting something good by virtue of having more things drop.
If you're looking for any drop in particular, I'd always recommend for you to max both red and blue.
I've gotten dagger drop with base red before (no cells either), so with that in mind blue is still always useful.
Don't bother with green and yellow lol.. if you're stagging high procs they'll naturally fill emselves up. White only if you need KI - also not necessary to aim at capping if u're doing like 3 fights in a row and can manage high procs.
Good to know about the dust & where to spawn Voidwrought, thanks.
Still wondering why you can only buy cells in bulk from the Voidwatch officer though. SE will probably patch that soon enough. White Cells would be awesome too @.@ but I doubt SE's going to be that nice lol.
My LS hates me cause I keep getting lucky and getting loot. Well, they usually hate me anyways, but they hate me more now I should says.
What's lame is Blu have to keep swapping spells like mad, as we aren't limited to just the abyssea to trigger with.
Thanks for the answer towards this event difficulty..
So it seems that.. tier 1, 2, and 3, even with some difficulty can be done with a well organized group that knows what are they doing..
The real problem emerges when u go to tier 4 .. and thats when you need aegis ochain etc etc stuff..
Also even if u go with 18 ppl doesnt that makes harder to get any drops ? i mean like making line for drops etc etc ( like in old times with d.ring ebodies etc..)
I fought Hahava and Voidwrought with a single Pld/war without Ochain or Aegis, our tank never died once on both fights. Dangerous moves are stunned or reduced to 1/4 of their power with Scherzo+EA. No brew/apo Rani/Shinryu are far more difficult than these fights. Triggering what you need is a another story.
Do you need to have T4 access to join a group to fight Voidwrought and possibly get a ring?
you wouldn't sell the ring, but the chance at a ring, since there is no way to certify that the ring has or has not dropped in your chest.
