Did the Corpselight in Saruta last night, and while I wouldn't call it easy, it wasn't really "challenging". It was "harder" than abyssea, for sure, but we still managed to take it down with mnk, thf, blu, whm, smn, blm, and um nin? Stunning -ga spells made it really not all that hard, really. Having to try to manage MP was something I wasn't used to as much on BLM, though. lol
I didn't really think it's challenging thus far, people just aren't prepared and are devoting a lot of effort to trying to stagger things, which given how little we know about it provides a huge distraction. Also, taken from Xanthe's stuff.
Code:vivid periapt of exploration A talisman formed of abyssite. Increases the frequency at which the bearer may accrue voidstones. vivid periapt of concentration A talisman of deep sapphire hue, formed of abyssite. Enhances the bearer's spectral alignment. vivid periapt of focus A talisman of striking yellow hue, formed of abyssite. Enhances the bearer's spectral alignment. vivid periapt of intensity A talisman of rich green hue, formed of abyssite. Enhances the bearer's spectral alignment. vivid periapt of readiness A glimmering talisman formed of abyssite. Grants the bearer the ability to receive temporary items upon commencing a Voidwatch operation. dusky periapt of readiness A jet-black talisman formed of abyssite. Grants the bearer the ability to receive temporary items upon commencing a Voidwatch operation.I'm guessing that the periapts come from all six of the T1 while the Atmacite come from the T2/T3.Code:Atmacite of Devotion Atmacite of Persistence Atmacite of Eminence Atmacite of Onslaught Atmacite of Incursion Atmacite of Exhortation Atmacite of Destruction Atmacite of Temperance Atmacite of Discipline
Oops, sorry, Cottus's periapt was also vivid periapt of readiness.

D-8 first map, near the corner at the south end of the square.
I-8 (basement, middle of the open area)
H-5 (basement, I think it was off to the left, so it might be at the boundary with G-5 there)
my thoughts are the same..
6 abyssite that aren't bought and 9 atma.
edit: based on the reports, both Cottus and Sarimanok drop the same abyssite, so it could be shared between tier 1s of the same path. hypo testing could be done if we can get abyssite from Ushumgal
based on what i can gather from names..
Ushumgal is supposedly a dragon biting its tail, or something.. I kinda have doubts they'd reuse the new dragon skins so early, so i'd say its probably a red amphiptere like Amhuluk (who is also supposed to be a dragon). Its only tier 1 so i hope people pop it soon.
Ogbunabali is a death deity, so maybe Titlacauan corse, idk.
Belphoebe is likely a faerie, but i wasnt sure which model to use. queen or unseelie.
would be great if people started doing this.. also because they should start their 20hr countdown timer
Well, the groups that didn't do bastok t1 will be doing that today, to get to the 16 hr timer. If I can, I'll try to get a pickup group as well to see if you can grow your abyssite without using a voidstone.
i was wondering if that was possible too..
it seems once you even complete 1 battle, the growth message is different.. perhaps the idea is to leech/support everyone else to upgrade your own.. which isn't so bad either considering you still get cruor and exp
To include in your maps, there are a number of items that have like names with their NMs. Possibly trophies, but they don't seem to be Rare/EX, so it could be synthesis materials for the new armors.

ok so i just gave it a go..
Ushumgal is a Kukulkan type peiste..
comes with the usual TP moves.. torpefying charge, grim glower, glowing eyes mode.. doesn't have the gaze terror tho.
add effect of slow too.
strongest move was calcifying mist i think, did like 1k.
procced yellow (increased R20 Y10 G10 at the same time) and something else.. it was rather confusing.
but ultimately we all got trashy craft drops.
alliance of 8
6750 exp
5500 cruor
didnt get any periapt
btw, pets unsummon upon battle start, kinda expected for confrontation.. so don't call them before
edit:
also for those who don't care for color names
xanthous -> raises yellow (25%)
rubicund -> raises red (50%)
cobalt -> raises blue (50%)
not sure if values are fixed but those are what i got
Final
B 150
R 170
Y 135
G 110
W 0
When we popped the worm yesterday, I'm fairly sure we started and ended with 75 white spectral alignment, and got no white triggers.
According to SE's Voidwatch notes, white is involved in the drop rate of atmacite and periapt.
You getting 0 on Ushumgal might explain why no periapt/atmacite dropped for you.
Also, a jade cell will enhance green spectral alignment. I noticed that I couldn't buy jade cells at a Voidwatch officer, but I could at a Conquest guard.
There also seems to be no corresponding cell for enhancing white spectral alignment prior to a Voidwatch according to the new items list.
Well, I don't know if I would recommend the Bastok worm at this point. It's hard to proc due to spell spamming. It might be better to perhaps have people pop the Briareus dude one at a time in a large group (popper drops alliance, pops, joins alliance) so we can maybe figure out how staggers work. I know that you will not get any kind of KI without a stagger because white is default at 0% and seems to only increase with staggers.
Edit: How you start with 75% white!?
First stagger message we got on Seymour said we had white 75%. We fought at the far east Rift outside of Port Bastok.
I did run around to grab all three stratums and all the buyable periapts beforehand, but I can't think of anything else I did before the fight besides trade a single Rubicund cell.
I distinctly remember seeing that first stagger message with 75% and everything else at about 100-something%. The different staggers we got (a few red and grellow) were enhancing our yellow, green and red considerably.
Uploading a screenshot now with my final alignment numbers, but didn't think to screen the other procs...
EDIT: Here go.

Assuming our first trigger somehow generated 75% white, here's our alliance setup to determine possible triggers.
Was two parties:
WHM
RDM
BRD
PLD
MNK
BLM
WHM
WHM
WHM
NIN
THF
BLU
No pet jobs. Was mostly randoms from Port Jeuno and some of their friends.
These NMs dont seem hard but you need some strong cure power to back up what they can dish out, wiped to worm at 63% with 2 MNK 2 NIN BRD WHM RDM BLM x2 was going fine then it spammed mudstream.
Someone on the first page said they managed to proc during the worm's WS, so perhaps you can proc during spellcasting too. Not sure how hard he is compared to the Gigas, but assuming you can proc during spellcasting it's probably worth doing for the chance at Exploration.Well, I don't know if I would recommend the Bastok worm at this point. It's hard to proc due to spell spamming.
