Never had the bug message today and also some normal weakness procs were raising white (25% each) and some didn't not sure why. Can't recall ever seeing anything but highly raise white before though could be wrong, also raised other lights 30-40%. seems like syncronic blitz will add 2% min to all lights with a lil damage. Had a Bliz V(not sure damage was filtered) and a 1k smite raise White 4% and others 20% and before just a 1k smite raise white 4% and rest 10%. It raises everyones I believe.

We had a lot of reds today too, both highly and regular messages. The blitz adds a value to all lights, not each light a different value. 10% seemed to be the cap for us. If you had White being raised by 4% and others 20%, you probably proc'd a regular weakness while trying to damage the mob.

They did say they were adding/altering the Drop pools... Looks like they added some seals to it then !

Someone else got RDM Feet as well. So Voidwrought = feet maybe.
Edit: More SAM Feet + MNK and WHM feet on 2nd one.

    re: Cottus

You can do him with a MNK+NIN with EA/Scherzo, CS Stun not necessary but if you're just looking to get people the clear that will work. Might be easier, that's just how I've done it. 5m or so for the whole fight.

Edit: Since this is linked on the wiki now, I'll expand more.

As other posts have said throughout this thread, he's fairly easy above 50% and is basically a Briarius without Atma's/Cruor buffs.

Below 50%, he gets fairly crazy with his TP moves. We fought him once early on when Voidwatch was first released and ran out of MP. We were trying to proc but generally had too many people in range of his moves taking too much damage (I think our refreshers were also not on the ball but meh). At 50% he started running around spamming TP moves (Merc Strike etc) and with no MP, well the result is fairly obvious.

The next time we did it, we were only looking for the clear since his drops are sorta meh.

1xVere MNK and 1xKannagi NIN were the sole sources of damage and we used chainspell stun at 50%. Both tanks had EA/Scherzo/March. This time around with some proper DD he went down really quickly. Smite was doing a range from 1500-4500 and :Hi 1000-1500. Looking back, I don't think CS Stun was necessary and I honestly think properly prepared this fight is easier than Sarimok (East Ronfaure T1) because he doesn't have a hate reset.

Party setup as a whole was: MNK NIN SMN BRD WHM RDM (2nd party which stood there looking cool: BLM WHM BRD SAM)

Tantra shoes seals off Voidwrought. The updated changes to lights seem nice, a lot breezier to cap them out with THF and weakness proc zerging.
Out of curiosity anyone tried to use Impact to proc "special attacks" vulnerability?

Any idea if they possibly drop in addition to the random mats? Last thing I want is losing 10-20k in random shit to seals I don't need, because that 10-20k adds up after multiple kills trying to get a single body to drop. ;/

blitz not 10% max. We just got 16% from hahava

red% weakness definately have alot now....it is near impossible to get 350% even w/o blitz and TH(which doesnt add up to the cap before, still 525% blue and 500% red max)

TH is joke, fuck thiefs lol

only positive thing i see in thie VW update is that, you can have lesser people to achieve max red%s

maybe they allowing low manning to get better loots at last

Treasure Hunter is pretty useless. Never saw it change lights more than 6% (that was with varying levels up to TH8 ), so not even 1/3 of the weakest possible stagger. The message on Treasure Hunter effect on lights comes up at the end of the fight, by the way.

Synchronic Blitz is definitely nice, specifically friendly to smaller groups. For larger groups it probably makes no difference because you can just stagger to cap (typically only takes two high staggers of each kind to cap lights completely), but for a smaller group where you typically can't cap because of a lack of procs, it helps a lot to push those lights as high as possible before killing. Plus it gives more purpose to those DDs who are just sitting off on the sidelines waiting for their procs to potentially come up.

Neither TH nor Blitz surpasses the old caps of 350/350 from the fights.

Never got the " " special attacks message once in the 8 fights we did last night, so it's likely that was fixed (used to come up all the time).

Fairly sure that the seals are in the place of random materials and not in addition. The drop rate on them isn't very high though. In eight fights, I got none, and only a couple of the people I was with mentioned that they got one.

I don't think Blitz maxes out at all, but yeah I think the highest Blitz we got was 18%. It seems to be something like a 3-5% per 1% damage correlation, and there might be a minimum of 2%.

So how exactly does this Blitz work? The monsters is <50% HP and you do a lot of damage to it quickly, then you get some kind of message in the chat log to the effect of: "Blitz! Yall's lights just went up ~.^"?

It's actually pretty intense, I forget the exact wording but basically when you stagger, in addition to instantly increasing the alignments from the stagger, a message comes up that says something to the effect of "time to beat the crap out of it!" and when the stagger finishes, another message comes up that says something like "Synchronic Blitz completed, X% added to all alignments" and then shows you all of the alignments, with the increase directly proportional to the damage you did during the stagger. It's not related to what the monster's current HP is, the Blitz opportunity opens every time you stagger and ends at the end of the stagger. As such, it's not really worth trying to Blitz for weak grellow !! staggers (which only last like 5 seconds) but it's good for red !! staggers.

Okay, so different strength staggers last for different amounts of time?

Weak Grellow would be short Silence.
    Weak Blue is short amnesia
    Weak red is short terror

And then Strong is a longer version of each of those? So it's worth blitzing any strong stagger?

There are no silence or amnesia staggers, and there are no blue !! staggers in Voidwatch.

The staggers that I've seen are:
    Normal Vulnerability:
Lower: Grellow !! (Adds 20% light to main affected light, restores 1 temp item if you have temp KIs)
Higher: Red !! (Adds 40% light to main affected light, restores all temp items if you have temp KIs)

    High Vulnerability:
Lower: Red !! (Adds 100% light to main affected light, restores all temp items if you have temp KIs)
Higher: Red !! (Adds 200% light to main affected light, restores all temp items if you have temp KIs)

The lights added by a stagger depend on what caused the stagger. A magical stagger will add red light as the main affected light, while a JA or WS stagger will add blue light as the main affected light. Spectral alignments colors have no correlation with !! colors.

So any high stagger is red !!, and low stagger is red !! maybe 1/3 of the time (seems to be a bias towards the lower stagger in each group). All staggers are terror. Grellow lasts about 5 seconds (long enough to throw a WS on the Blitz if you're already engaged, but not really long enough to engage, run in, and WS if you're standing back), red lasts much longer (15-30, I haven't timed and I don't know if it varies).

It's sort of like when you proc red or blue in Abys, and you're like "Ok rape it"

I guess, except here you're explicitly rewarded for doing so by having your alignments increased.

I'd really like to start coming up with a list of potential staggers, by the way. I know we've been going with the "anything can stagger" idea for a while, but I highly doubt that's true. Yes the list is expanded and different from Abyssea, but I highly doubt it includes every possible offensive spell, ability, and weapon skill.

Has anyone noticed an increased drop rate to certain items? I don't know if it was luck or not but out of the 6 Voidwroughts and Hahavas we had last night, we saw many more Strendu Rings, Voidwrought Plates, Strendu Mantles, Ganesha's Mask, Ganesha's Mala, and Hahava's Mail. We even got a Fazheluo Radiant Mail and Mextli Harness last night! =)

Sounds like luck to me. I've done a Tonberry where we got 5 Rancor Collars and a Jingang Greatsword followed by one where we got nothing with the same lights, similarly with a Voidwrought where we got 3 Strendu Rings and a Plate followed by one nothing (all pre-update). Yesterday the NMs we did we saw four total drops in eight kills (2 Irrwisch Rings in 3 Virvatulis, 1 Pipilaka Belt in 3 Ogbunabalis, and 1 Strendu Ring in 2 Voidwroughts), so nothing special.

All the bonus alignments for TH matched the TH that I'd proc'd during the fight. TH7 got a 7% boost, TH9 got a 9% boost etc.

I also noticed in one of our Voidwroughts that it wasn't being added in to the total lights you get in the end. The last light message in the log said that Blue was at 258% and the final tally was 408% (+150%). I proc'd TH8 and got the 8% bonus alignment msg, but if that was right then Blue should have been 416%. I could have read the whole thing completely wrong though, but I couldn't double check because we capped lights the rest of the Voidwroughts and Hahava's we did. Would be neat if someone could check that out because I don't think our LS is doing voidwatch again fr a while.
