The good thing is, level 95 or not, people will still have a lot of trouble with Voidwatch if they suck. Hopefully it is defeat x monster y times since the drops are random. It will also make having a 95 version somewhat of an achievement as opposed to anything now.

My LS loves VW cause we make millions of gil from doing it. Of course if you don't have the lucky hidden stat to get drops then I can see it not being as fun for you.

Pretty sure VW will be the endgame @95, from where we will get new upgrades. Their WoE plans seem to be a step backwards, hopefully nothing will be required there.

Millions over how many runs? I'm only averaging 100-200k every run we do (6-9 kills) unless I get lucky and a VNM mat drops which nets a good 300-400k.

We still getting roughly 2-3 bodies a run so I guess I can't complain however much gil I end up making, although it's nice to have an event where I actually make gil on the side.

At this point in time I'm mainly curious how stage 2 will be compared to the first now that the majority of us have figured the system out and have our own trigger lists formed to speed the lights+kill process. I can't really see VW being 'endgame' for lvl95-era FFXI, it feels more like a side-thing like Limbus or ZNM were. Granted there really isn't anything else scheduled as far as new events go in the now-a-month-off schedule SE made no?

the only way to make VW fucking popular is if they are needed for magian trials.....

i dont wanna jinx it tho since i know many people here cannot even find a decent group to do VW regularly... and i think empy is a abyssea thing...but i cant see what we can do anymore in abyssea as it is just a L90 content area....

theres a high chance that VW is needed for empy trials....and tbh i dont mind

if VW just for sidegrades equips in the future, then its just mehhhhh and will be dead like limbus and salvage

hopefully 95 better equip do exist next patch from VW, or they are needed for salvage gear magian or any trial weapons

We just straight tanked it with pld and used blms for dmg, just be fast to turn if uses accursed spikes, be ready for stun/meteor bs under 50%.

Anyone have a clean strat for Krabimanjaro for around 8-10ish? Did it today, slightly annoying when he decided to do double Venom Shower at low percent, were having some issues getting him down quick below 50 with the random showers + hate reset

when it gets to 50% chainspell stun and blow it up, pretty sure fool's drinks dont block the damage from venom shower so you have to stun it

then just people unloading on it pop fanatics and burn it down

If venom shower doesn't deal any damage and you die from its poison, even on that mob, you suck.

If you want to be 'safe' just use Earthen Armor/Scherzo and he shouldn't be an issue.

Also, for Kholomodumo, just have people use Fanatic's or Fool's below 50%, and then the other one when it wears off. Gives you two full minutes to avoid Thunderbolt/Meteor (if you have Fanatic's Drink up you'll resist the stun so you can run out of range of Meteor, and if you have Fool's up you'll get stunned but Meteor won't do damage). Thunderbolt/Meteor shouldn't kill anyone from full HP anyway, even without EA/Scherzo (though it'll most certainly leave you with red/orange HP).

Elshimo Pachira Fruit is the item you're talking about, but I didn't know that it prevented the poison from Venom Shower. I was pretty sure Venom Shower overwrote the poison from Poison and Venom Potions, the poison from the fruit behaves differently I guess?
