He can do back to back combos and kill you though!
Out of over 140+ or so possible chances people could have got radiant mails tonight we managed to get 2 mails off voidwrought and like 15 or so strendu rings and no mantles.
im also very convinced that mantle/gala neck is wayyyyyy more rare than the bodies ._.
Hi everyone! I know the developers have already said that they don't plan on changing the Voidwatch loot system by letting us put stuff in the treasure pool, but I have made a new thread on the official forums named "Voidwatch Drop Rates/Loot Distribution" and thought maybe if the player community responds with new ideas that maybe we could get some kind of change to Voidwatch's loot system.
I would love for Voidwatch to be an enjoyable endgame event instead of an infuriating one.
Btw, sorry I can't post the url to the thread I made. Apparently I don't have enough posts. XD
Anyone know if NM drops share a same pool, or if more than one of them can drop? We've seen a body and an accessory on my LS runs once, but we've yet to see two non-body items drop to someone on the same run.
And some pondering about red% since I'm too lazy to read the last 30 pages to see what other people have already theorized....
Spoiler: show
not sure what u meant but 350% alone still drops bodies....yet to see anyoone gotten 1 below 350%
increase drop rate only prolly
One of the only two bodies my LS got (after many, many T4s) was to someone who didn't even trade cells. Also, someone in my LS has gotten both Voidwrought Plate and Strendu Ring off of the same Voidwrought, so it's at least possible for the material and one of the armor pieces to drop.
I would assume red just impacts the mob-specific item drop rate directly. For example, if the drop rate of Fazheluo R.Mail is normally 0.1% at 100% red, it would be 0.5% at 500% red. That's what I think, and it's not something we'll really ever be able to prove unless someone wants to be a guinea pig and do tons and tons of fights with really crappy lights. It would be analogous to how the blue light works, though, if that's the way it worked.
As far as the loot system goes, I don't really expect them to change it. What I do expect is further periapt upgrades, and perhaps increases in alignment limits, which make the drops somewhat easier to acquire as the event evolves. Meanwhile, if you have a bunch of people who know what they're doing and know how to get around Vana'diel quickly, this is certainly one of the slicker events in the game in terms of keeping things moving and minimizing inactive time (city earrings and retrace staves are brilliant for this; for example, Federation Earring drops you about 50 steps south of the Voidwatch NPCs in Windurst Waters). The body drop rates certainly leave something to be desired, but they should. Everything else seems to drop with a fairly reasonable rate, and there are those odd fights where you get some quantity of drops that blows any other NM from any other event out of the water (e.g. one Moira we did last night dropped three crowns, three bomblets, and a molar - this type of loot pool would be impossible with normal distribution).
Also, yes the body drop rate is incredibly low, but this is likely why the craftable versions exist.
Similarly, I've seen something like six or seven Rancor Collars from a single tonberry and as I said in my post above, 3 bomblets and 3 crowns off one Moira. Also had a couple Voidwroughts with 3-5 Strendu Rings and some with 2 or 3 mantles. Pretty sure I've seen every item from every Voidwatch NM drop more than once in a fight except the bodies, and those can probably drop twice in a fight also, just the drop rate is super low.
Sorry for my lack of clarity in that post (I should stop posting at the 2AM mark), but I was referring to multiple drops (bar the body) to the same person. As far as I've seen the loot chest is completely indepedent for each person, as we've had 7 Strendu rings from voidwrought before.
Any good tips on low party Lord Asags? We finally beat that bastard with PLD WAR SMN WHM x 2 RNG x 2 BLM MNK but he is a nasty customer. Is there some specific strategy we should be following for an easier time? All goes well until he starts charming and then the fight slows down considerably.
On Smn use Spinning Dive only, Asag's evasion is... totally weird. We let 2-3 Leviathan tank after Servitude or just Perfect Defense to survive (it also protects from Charm). Stun/Fool's Drink on Death, not so easy without Addle. Rng and Cor are of course very good. Avoid unnecessary buffs or throw Ecliptic Growl if you can't Finale. Saboteur Poison II + Bio III + Tidal Roar is also nice (36 dmg/tick, straight -40% Attack).
No, EA/Scherzo is only useful on Ogbunabali (Gravitic Horn), Murk-Veined Baneberry (Throat Stab), Kholomodumo (Meteor), Hahava (unblocked Oblivion, after Vengeance), Voidwrought (Ballistic Kick, after Eradicator) and perhaps Belphoebe (after Norn Arrows) and Celaeno (Ravenous Wail, after Typhoean Rage), nothing else.
Doing Marbol & Tonberry today. Any tips? 2-3 tanks i hear.
