The other night we did six T3 fights (2 each of the three Jeuno area fights) and no one got a pouch, all fights had capped lights. Maybe 25-30 singles total across the full alliance adding all six fights together. So no, definitely not 100%. Is it just me, or does it sound like the Zilart fights have a higher pouch drop rate than the Jeuno ones?
Not sure, I just stood there the whole fight away from the rest of the alliance tanking them both with ochain. I would assume that they do though, everything from the zilart path repops babies at some point or another. Then we just had 2 Aegises split tanking the guy running him back and forth across the room.
This might just be a case of had way to many dual boxers, but am i missing something about bringing down Qilin in a less-not-timing-out way? Overall DD were 3 ukko wars, 2 blm, cor (didn't have any of our wildfire ones on so lacked that) Biggest thing was when switching off Qilin to take down the spawns and counteracting that stupid regen. Only had the pld as the source of dmg which didn't totally keep up with the regen. Guessing the wildfire + pld dmg would fix that but anything else I am not grasping at here. Was an off night for member count so ally was at about 14 total with 5 being dual boxed.
We had trouble with time/managing adds in 3 attempts, 4th attempt, we decided to immediately start damaging qilin, temps and all, had aegis tanking the main, ochain pulling adds, and holding them. in only one fight did he have time to pop 3 adds and qilin was at 3% anyways, one time he only popped one, that basically became our strategy, and really made it alot easier and faster, from timing out with qilin @ 70% after killing 4 adds, to killing after summoning one, so take that as you want, i atleast recommend giving that a try.
That actually helps a ton, we had our 2nd last fight of the night kinda roll out really well with throwing all we could at the start. Guess the mistake was laying off of it to take care of the adds. Think we had it at around 63% at the first mini pop with what we had there. Manpower wise with that strat going in with what we had previously might seem feasible. Though only access to 1.5 ochain plds. Guessing we'll push out the Azdajas before going back at this if its going to make things smoother having two ochains at least.
whats the secret to Pil, fucker keeps killing all dd's with malign invocation. the atmacite is shit so gonna try either a straight zerg, or a smn spam with 7+ smns...
I have a hard time thinking many have beaten this....
dont throw so many DDs at it at once? have them build TP on one of the babies, wait for it to use a TP move then go in and try to trigger red
Um if you're talking about Pil it doesn't have any adds... so that wouldn't exactly work? lulz
oh yeah duhfuck idk bring rangers? XD
SMN card won't fix the invincible shield issue unless you plan on throwing DRK & CORs at it also, as with 7+ SMN you don't have much room to cover a good range of procs on the remainder of the alliance to remove it the normal way.
4 Uptala last night with a full alliance netted us 12 Ace's Mails (grats to my mule), 1 of the NQ Great Katana's, and 10 pouches ranging from 14 metal plates to 4.
The adds were a complete joke to hold as an Ochain PLD, no support was required at all.
As for Uptala, he was fairly straight forward, all but the first fight took around 10 minutes to cap red/blue and kill it, we discovered that stunning Yaksha: Oblivion is much more beneficial than stunning Sakra Storm, as it is high physical damage and hate reset.
Sakra wasn't really threatening, ST20 didn't last long enough for the PLD to be in any danger and even if the tank did fall into low HP, Uptala is very easy to kite as he stops and TP's regularly and didn't appear to have any increased movement speed. Stunning Oblivion is going to keep hate stable and prevent melee from being one-shotted (or close to being one-shotted) when they are procing or DDing it.
For anyone wondering, it was mentioned above, but don't kill Qilin's adds. They have too much HP and it's a total waste of time. Qilin himself isn't very hard to hold, but if you stop killing him to kill the adds when they pop, he will definitely have regenned to 100%. Between the auras and their TP moves, the adds are actually more annoying to kill (and more deadly to a larger group) than Qilin. It's much easier to have a PLD (preferably one with Ochain or Aegis) standing off to the side and grabbing the adds as they pop, with a WHM dedicated to keeping them alive. This way everyone can focus on Qilin (controlled zerg capping lights along the way, make sure everyone has all temp items). Without anyone 2-hring and capping lights along the way, it dies in ~5 minutes with a full well-equipped alliance. If he gets lucky, he might kill one or two people. The fight went from "wtf how are we going to do this" to "this is probably the easiest T3" when we we switched our strategies from killing adds to pulling them away and focusing on Qilin. He'll typically be dead before he can get the third summon off if you use this method. In case anyone was wondering or didn't see yet, Gorget is the (very) common drop, THF/RNG movement feet are the rare drop (whyyyyyyyy), Lux Pugio is probably between the two, and Coruscanti is the super rare drop like the bodies from Jeuno T3. The rooms with the rifts are just the right size that the entire room is within range without worrying about leaving the field.
Are you guys positive that singles drop off T3 Zilart? We got like 6-8 pouches in four kills and not one single. That doesn't seem likely. Range we saw in pouches was 5~15 btw. Still hoping for that 5~20 range like alexandrite, someone report back with a 16-20 number!
Apparently Pil's physical shield is vulnerable to blunt damage. Or maybe it rotates type weakness, but in any case, was vulnerable to blunt in the run I just attended.
