Seems somewhat useless anyways, tbh.
Because it would instantly give you TP for a weapon skill if it proc'ed that high? If there was a piece of gear that gave you a 0.1% chance at 10000 MAB on a nuke, wouldn't that be broken? It would only average out to 10 MAB, but when it proc-ed your nuke would do 100x damage.
Granted the guy didn't provide enough data, but it sounds like a 10-15% proc rate. 10-75 TP randomly at a 10-15% proc rate sounds pretty broken, idk.
Lol I dont even....
How you can compere 10000 mab to insta TP for a WS? Samurai has now like 10%+ for like +~50TP on every swing with hasso lol. Except SAM can actually WS for twice harder on 90% stuff outside (a little lower with almace).
There is nothing broken in this sword especially when you consider it can resist more on harder stuff.
You said it's not broken because it's less than sTP+10 on average. What I was saying had nothing to do with the average, just the fact that one could drain 77 TP with one melee swing when a mob doesn't even have 77 TP to drain. That does indeed sound broken to me. Not broken as in, "holy shit it's so good it would break the game if they leave it like that," but as in "that sounds like an unintentional glitch." Twilight Knife drains what, like 7-8 TP max when it drains TP? And the proc rate on that isn't much higher than 10-15%, it usually drains HP or MP.
GKT seems odd.
SE claims it has a hidden effect and it turns out to be TP drain, the same thing that the clearly labeled Ephemeron does?
I don't think anyone ever really cared about the GKT anyway so no big loss. The only one that ever really looked any good before was Coruscanti, has anyone heard any information on that?
Someone got confused and the conversation shifted, he's referring to this:

Haven't seen much on Mellonia besides one testimonial. How are people setting up for it? Is it just a stun-lockdown (maybe CSS) and zerg?
His aura becomes deadly after a while, you need to trigger a !! each time to remove it.
you make my face hurt slycer
but yeah, as stated earlier, activation rate on the tp drain looks to be reminiscient to that of shinsokuuuuuuu, and even though it can drain nearly a ws-worth of tp, i wouldn't be surprised even in the slightest to see the effect be resisted severely on anything worthwhile
in short: glowyyyyyyyy glowglow <call4>
We bounced hate between 2 PLD's with DD's running in and out pending on how much they could get away with before rape. When we tried it with a solo tank (admittedly in a smaller pop area though), shit just got messy due to the PLD not being able to cast with aura up and eventually it would catch a mage or 7 with its aura.
Seemed easy enough once we had 2 tanks and a more open pop area to spread out.
I fought the gnat with a pickup group x3. The first time we tried to hold it and do procs, and the aura got out of control. Second and third times we just proced as possible and did steady damage the whole time. Ended up with near-capped lights both times anyway from synchronic blitz and what staggers we did get.
Not sure if it's known, but you can trigger a spell that has no effect. Just got trigger off Battlefield Elegy while Carnage was still active.
I'll second the gnat strategy, we did it about a week ago, and 2 tanks is the way to go, then we utilyzed blms and had one behind each tank, yeah we had normal dd's , but we found that having a blm paired with a pld made hate control easier to manage, it would fly back and forth either because of the nukes, or because of the hate from the plds - basic ping pong strat.
Modron was a mess. Had 2 aegis plds, one held the kids, the other on the main nm. The problem was pinecone bomb being hate reset > thundaja for everyone!! Killed it, but could manage it better with 3 tanks, 2 for NM, and 1 for adds next time.
What's the deal with Mimic King. Doing it tonight
