I'm hearing a lot of people say Blue is pointless since its just logs and synth mats, doesn't it increase the number of item slots in the box which would mean the rare drop can be one of them? Or they could be high level scrolls?

So far everyone whos told me they got a high-level Scroll has said it appeared in Slot 1 (Rare item slot)
Honestly I'm pretty sure blue is pointless. I only trade Red cells and capped Red then kill. Seems EQ only drops in slot 1, same for scrolls. Can anyone prove different? Has anyone seem EQ and scroll drop?
Blue gives you more slots.
I think its very possible that the "rare" item (spell, body, weapon etc) just displays in the top spot in box. I would think having blue capped would still give you more chances at getting a rare item.
I always felt the rare shit gets sorted to top, and the way I feel red/blue works is...
Shame it's impossible to test that with how low the drop-rates are to begin with. One guaranteed item slot for each 100% blue
One of each guaranteed slot given a chance for quality item roll per 100% red
Probably just extreme luck, but I run two characters, and started on a long test. My main id use both rubicund and cobalt and my alt id use just rubicund cells. So far have done 20 jeuno T4 fights since using cobalt (only do 4 per day). Each fight we cap red and have always had high to capped blue. Out of the 20 fights (4 akvan 8 kaggen 8 phil) my mule has gotten 2 sceamol band, 1 mantis eye, 1 scroll of blizzja from kaggen, and 1 chakram from pil, and total of 3 heavy metal plates. My main has gotten 2 sceamol band, 1 heka body, 1 akvan pennon, 1 Pil Tuile, 1 phasmida belt, 1 mantis eye, and most notably 13 heavy metal plates. Like I said its probably just luck, but for 20 runs that i used cobalt with I either got a rare item/specific craft item, or a heavy metal plate. I'm going to keep using cobalt and keep testing, but I'm liking the idea of "more slots to roll at" theory.
Would that be the case with Uptala too? Haven't done Aello or Uptala yet but should sometime this week so trying to get prepared. Our group went through Akvan and Kaggen no problem but been having trouble with Qilin and Pil so thinking that more info might be to our benefit. Steamrolled just about everything but those two have been giving us fits so trying to see if Uptala/Aello are easier to try first.
as a WHM what do i need to do to get drops, jsut heal? or deal some DMG with spells too?
what?
Voidwatch isn't like Campaign Union/WoE where you have to get a certain number of points to qualify for rewards. Spectral Alignment works for everyone in the alliance. (Although you can Ascent Items to increase your personal alignment per battle.) You don't have to do anything in oder to get something, you can just cure away. (But if one of the procs is light magic, it wouldn't hurt for you to hurl a few banishes at the mob to try to raise the alignment.)
If you would like to know more, there is an exquisitely detailed explanation on BGWiki.
I'm not sure if it's already known but there is a special message for white !! (test server)
Spoiler: show
Ocythoe casts lightning spells and Kalasutrax (the green Hahava) is the exact opposite of Uptala, relying on Raksha TP moves, casts water spells, it does not gain MDT-50% after Raksha Stance (Tapana in Walk of Echoes neither), this trait seems exclusive to Hahava. It uses Raksha: Vengeance and probably more than once since Uptala can Yaksha: Oblivion 2 times in a row. Ocythoe and Kalasutrax have about 170k hp like every other T3 jeuno/zilart besides Kaggen.
SE said they added a new HQ Stagger that automatically caps all lights if landed and freezes the mob for a very long time. I would assume that is the one in the picture you have there where it says that the mob is tremendously vulnerable to markship weaponskills. I expected it to be some hard to proc magic or something from group 3... Marksmanship is pretty easy to land unless its only from Relic gun, mythic xbow, empyrean gun weaponskills lol. Did you end up procing that?
tbh I thought it would be some jackpot weakness, where you happen to stumble upon it.
Capping lights isn't that difficult. However this does make it go faster which is a step in the right direction.
Doesn't really seem to be that gear to me considering even after you cap, you want to keep procing to recharge temps.
