KCNM 30: A Palborough Project

Just did this KCNM 30 battle. Set up was Nin, Thf, Rdm.

Mob: Mahuika - Big Bomb type
Tp Moves: Berserk
Hellstorm
Vulcanian Impact
Mini-Bomb: Nga Manawa
Tp Moves: Self-Destruct

Starts of mob in center room. Standard BCNM, No buffs wear upon entry, tp doesn't wear upon entry. Big Bomb type mob, gets bigger and bigger the more tp/ws you feed him. Can do one of two types of dmg tp moves. Hellstorm is high dmg HUGE AoE effect. Hit our Thf for 1300 flat, but hit me for 900 dmg and Rdm for unknown ammount. Or it can do Vulcanian Impact for lesser dmg. Will spawn 1-3 Nga Manawa after one of those tp moves. Hate is shared so whoever has hate they'll chase and use WIDE area self-destruct that hits for a flat 1k dmg. These have low Hp so an -aga or AoE WS can take them out. Mahuika has medium def and has low magic def. All enfeebles were able to be landed including Gravity, Addle and such w/o use of Sabatour. Nukes were decent high on a non-nuke geared Rdm.

Can be won 1 of 2 ways. High fast dmg or Mage nuke/kite method. Drk and Mnk went before use both times and won within 30sec. The did have Empy weapos but still makes no difference. Drops were so/so, Adaman Ore, Gold Ore, Elemental Fewell. Nothing note worthy or high dollar yet. Hope this helps ya'll.

Group in my LS did the KC50 version in Palborough / Waughroon.
vs 4 Quadav type mobs, immune to ES Sleepga and Repose, and hate bounces alllll over the place. Had a THF Eva tank while we picked em off one at a time.

Drops after was:
5,000 Gil each (Standard BCNM type thing)
Barbican Axe (dmg 63, VIT +7)
Aspir II
Fire Fewell
1 Byne Bill x2
Reraiser

Can post pics if people want, took a screenie but haven't put it on Photobucket yet.
Took about 12 minutes or so, can probably be done faster once a better strat comes out.

Oh yea, ours dropped about 6,666 gil per person. When we did the fight method, took roughly 7-9min. Not long at all.

The KC30 in Palborough dropped a Fracas Grenade for us. I guess that's probably the only unique drop?

Did KC50 in Sacrificial Chamber. Four mobs - a Ghost, a Doomed, a Dog and a Skeleton. When each one hit 50% they all used BW, and when one died they all levelled up. Not difficult with MNK NIN WHM RDM BRD (as expected). Dropped Calmecac Subligar.

The size of the bomb seems to determine how many of this helpers are popped. When my group tried it out and won, we got fire fewell, a vile elixer, 2 adaman ores, a mahogany log and creed seal: head. So these things seem to drop seals randomly maybe?

The drops from these things are atrocious. One random AF3+1 seal, a few NPCable mats and a chance at one slightly good situational piece of gear (we got one in five runs). I doubt anyone is going to do these BCs ever again after this week.

these don't have "!!" procs involved in them do they?

Not that I saw, we did it three times. Extremely easy... lol. BLU + WHM + DRG, only time we came near any danger was last fight towards the end the add self destructed for 700~1k.
