Very little useful discussion happens on the official forums. In fact, I'm not sure any useful discussion happens on the useful forums. The only reason I go there is to stop the one line between SE and the community from getting clogged with retards.

rofl...Man, I was totally about to jump on that guy for reposting his stupidity and trying to start a discussion around it, but then I read your post and all was good again.

... ended with a billion word post from some guy claiming to have done augments for "hundreds" (wtf?) of people and that his HQ rate is beyond what many think possible (wtf?) and that he can HQ3 "almost perfectly" (wtf?), implying that he knows some secret methods to get HQs, and then his only suggestion to the dev team, which was the only point of his post because the other 90% of it was worthless "I know something you don't know" bullshit with no informational value, was to let him use his synergy furnace in dungeons so that people can come to him when he's doing Grounds of Valor.

I was wondering what people thought of that. Pretty bold claims without any proof. I've replied to him with a "if you can't prove it, it's BS" post. Let's see how that works out.

I know that dude and have seen the gear he has augmented. What I've seen is nothing amazing or different than the rest of us have seen from the augments posted here. I think he is just maybe not experienced with synergy and thinks the HQ rate should be similar to normal crafting. He made a stupid amount of gil shouting to augment peoples gear with the purchase of a tatter/seal for 100k and since he didn't seem to have any competition he must think he's above average.

HQ2: DMG:+22 / DEX+5
NQ: Resist Virus +6
NQ: Resist Paralyze +3
HQ2: DMG:+23 / Summoning Magic Skill +12

Noting really epic but that last one isn't bad for an extra boost to Elemental Siphon and BP: Ward durations.

Now it's thousands of people apparently, and 100% HQ2 and 80% HQ3 rate (180% altogether!). Get the feeling he's not including NQ and HQ1, just talking about what he actually gets to his customers.

Great, thanks. With that, we've seen the magic skill augments for each type of Kirin's Pole synth. It looks very much like the pool of four for each scrap is attack, accuracy, one stat, and one magic skill.

From what I can tell, it's:
Genbu: Attack/Accuracy/VIT/Enhancing
Suzaku: Attack/Accuracy/STR/Elemental
Seiryu: Attack/Accuracy/???/Enfeebling
Byakko: Attack/Accuracy/DEX/Summoning

I'm going to take an educated guess that Seiryu's missing stat is AGI since they seem to be non-magic related stats and Seiryu's crystal is wind, which aligns with AGI (the other gods' crystals all align appropriately with the related stats appearing on the augmented poles).

Slycer, you should probably edit the OP for koenig cuirass. A Screenshot from the previous page shows NQ body can get PDT -5% on forced augment.

It's part of the random pool. If our current theory holds, you should be able to get up to 8 RAtk if you're lucky. Those are some pretty sweet Jishnu's pants, eh?

i have had a terrible time getting good augments for me but have gotten other people really nice augments on their byakko's. Prolly going to keep trying when i get more scraps

I would've killed to get STR +4(5 maybe?) or accuracy +8 with WS dmg +3%, attack +6 on Shura head lol. Those random pool augments just seem to favor the junk even though half the pool are actual stats =/

I heard a rumor of a JP Heca Hat with 16 STR, 8 Atk, and 3 DA, lol.
