We could have an online XML sheet just like with Masamune's Player stat sheet. I don't know how to make one, but I'll look into it. Primarily, the sheet should list the bastion/dominion buffs, zones, mobs, and lights obtained.

If you ask me, I'd say it would have to do with the Pulse Martello Cores. I recall one of them involves the lights and chests drops.

Ramuh and both Ephemerals in Vunk only gave 5 Pearl each.

There is no pulse martello core that explicitly mentions lights from mobs, I just checked the npc.

    01: Martello recast
    02: Conflux cost
03: Support effect potency (cruor buffs I assume)
    04: Experience yield
    05: Cruor yield
    06: Pyxis manifestation rate
    07: Treasure yield

I'd guess 06 and 07 are relevant to understanding lights but they are level 1/2 in misareaux on my server and we still get 128+ azure from ephemeral murex in that zone. So I think they help lower the threshold to cap pearl(06) and red/blue/gold(07) as opposed to governing lights from a mob.

Probably only semi-related, but few days ago, on weekend (thus, high load of people in the zone) I was in Altep doing some Manigordos (tigers) and got 8 azure lights from the first one I killed. After that, capped azure chests started to appear. First one (1k cruor) I thought it was random capped chest, then got another with 1.25k exp, another one with TEs and so forth.

Got capped amber ones at around 32 amber lights too, so, I guess Dominion bonuses + abyssites can get REALLY strong, as capped boxes with very few (if any) lights.

i did some experimentation in abyssea kons while trying fruitlessly to get a refresh pin and better dark rings (no such luck...) but i did find that eph clionids tended to give enhanced azure and did not show appreciable increase in other kinds of lights. meanwhile, eph limules liked to give enhanced red light but nothing else and avatars enhanced amber light. i could not find a particularly good source of mass quantities of pearl other than popping red chests and hoping for good results with even NMs offering at best 10-15 pearl. eph mobs and avatars that gave enhanced lights appeared to always give in powers of 2 (16, 32, 64, 128) while enhanced pearl from NMs was always a multiple of 5 from what i saw. take that for what you like, however, since most of it was my mental notes and not correlated data.

I've noticed that as well with limules giving enhanced azure and clionids ruby. They're fairly useless otherwise, not even double for other lights.

Imoq the bonuses are really high at max and you don't need much to cap lights, although I'm pretty sure you need more than 8 to actually cap. What's more like is you bumped up to tier 4 and got lucky with abyssite procs raising it to tier 5. Usually in heroes zones with domain bonuses active I've found around 64 caps for sure, it might be lower (and depends on the active bonus of course.)

The high tier nms like the zone bosses etc give enhanced lights as well (even Ovni gave a large amount of lights) but I haven't tested if the bonus is light specific like emph mobs or will work with any light (Although I have a hunch it's any light, only one I haven't tested for enhancements on high tier nms is amber.) I think this was already known though.

This is the reason why I posted here. Had only 8 azure lights, had max azure chests. Nope, didn't take screenshots of /healing showing 8 azure lights everytime I opened a max blue chest but it was that way.

That's the reason I find this odd and uncommon.

So is there no known way yet/at all to bump pearl at super lights like there is amber/ruby/azure?

Most I've seen from nms is x4 (20 lights). t1 vnms seem to give 10-15 lights a kill, randomly. Nothing super fast though.

So if the magic number for TE is to have Azure @ 128, any idea about Amber and what magic numbers for the various tiers? It would be ideal to avoid the bigger gold-chests with KI's so if anyone knows at what point in amber those tend to spawn, I'd appreciate it. thx

I wouldn't say 128 is the "magic number" really. With 128 Azure I tend to get a fair amount of chests that aren't capped, so probably a little more than that is necessary.
I haven't personally tested with Amber yet, but I would suggest getting 128 Amber and killing for a while, to see if you get any big chests or not. If you do/don't, go up/down from there.

Another small note that I don't think I mentioned previously, Yaanei [the Caturae in Attohwa] has been giving my group super Azure and super Amber [128], not sure about Pearl/Ruby, but my theory would be 5/10 Pearl and 128 Ruby as well.

On a related note, since most Avatars seem to get super Amber, has anyone figured out their spawn conditions yet?
I haven't seen Tejas [Ifrit] in Attohwa since a couple updates ago. My current theory that he only spawns when the Miasmas are being taken care of. [On Shiva, people haven't been doing the quest as of late, so miasmas are ALWAYS up, which is the only thing I can relate to the time of Tejas disappearing.]
When I feel like testing it [unless someone beats me to it] I'll have to get that quest going and start killing them off.

Since it's been bumped. I had a bit of a weird day in Kons a few days ago. Each time I would azure or amber I would get 16 of the respective lights, and it took me until 152 to start getting time/big golds that weren't abyssite procs.

Does anyone know why this would happen? I was solo so I know it wasn't from anyone else in party killing stuff at the same time. I've also been back since and everything is back to normal the best I can tell.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. Are you asking why you were only getting 16 a kill or why you weren't getting consistent time/golds until 152? As previously mentioned 128, isn't "capped" as some people have previously said, but you will start seeing some decent results there for time/big golds, but again not full time. As for the former, only certain mobs will give super lights that will cap you quickly, but I'm assuming you know this since you said "it was back to normal since."

Sorry if that didn't answer what you wanted.

I too am curious about this. I have spent what feels like an eternity in Vunkerl, just for one job (Scholar), and most of the time I don't see any feet (yet in the grand scheme of things, it's bad luck). I try to avoid capping amber, because I've heard it lowers the drop rate of feet, and so far my experience does agree, and that's trying for a couple weeks or more.

I've also noticed feet tend to show when paired with misc. items, ie: synthesis materials/scrolls/etc. I have yet to see any when paired with NM pop items. Could just be a coincidence.

Normally you'd only get 8 amber or 8 azure on any regular mobs in the zone. I'm saying I was getting 16 per kill per morboling. I understand 128 isn't capped but usually you'll start to get a lot of tier5 chests at this time. Unless I had one hell of an unlucky streak I was only at tier 4 lights(40 cruor per destroyed chest) until 152.

As for feet farming, I don't know if there is a sweet spot, but I would always aim for 112 amber when I was farming them. I'm pretty sure you can't get 2 feet in the same chest after you start only getting bigs. Just got thf and mnk in the same chest with capped amber....

The Pulse Martello cores #06 and #07 seem to have something to do with it. Look at these two posts by RAIST. On my server everyone tends to get their Resistance Credits in M.Coast, and I get way too many feet when I gold box farm in that area. On the other hand, when we gold box Attohwa, we see very few feet and I never see anyone doing Bastion there.

Yeah, I recall getting feet I needed in Misareaux Coast with minimal effort. People usually do Bastion there compared to other areas, and that also has the lowest amount of feet that can show up. Go figure.

That's what I've been trying, however, it's the same in Vunkerl as in Attohwa. Not many do Bastion there either, 06/07 cores are low 95% of the time, though there's the occasional level 2-3...yet I can end up seeing feet x2 in a chest occasionally in Vunkerl with 0 amber built. It's all random it seems.
