And finally got fisher's torque. Was actually getting ready to go power level my friends and told them I wanted one more brown before I went. Got one and was crap. Went and killed the room where that NM bat pops and got another brown, torque was in it as well as allluminum ingot.

Good to know they didn't ninja getting items in caskets from low level mobs. I was beginning to suspect after six or seven crap brown chests in Zeruhn the other day.

I farmed for the Metasoma Katars for like a week and haven't gotten any... though a pair sold on the auction house for 2 million. I think I'm cursed with getting the worst possible hints on brown caskets.

Yup, I quit tonight. Level 4 caskets in Zeruhn for four days now. Ten or twelve brown caskets just tonight with nothing but Pro-ethers and a War Beret.

Gonna find something productive to do for a while, maybe level PUP out of shame.

I think the Caskets Kupower does make a difference. My casket rate was definitely cut in half or so after Signet wore.

Someone here said they used thief tools to pick brown locks. Then in Random Q thread someone said it does not work. Can anyone verify 100% one way or the other from personal experience?

Work like chests in outside areas do. On first trade, you'll usually get a free "between x and y" hint. You can trade more, but you won't always get a hint, and it won't always be useful.

God dammit, nothing pisses me off more right now than "the second digit is 1, 2 or 3" followed by "the second digit is odd" - saves exactly 0 guesses once you figure out the first digit.

Still, it's two guesses used up and gets you down to 20 numbers (20/90 = 22%), which still leaves you ahead of just guessing the middle number (54 -> 32 -> 22/90 = 24%).

Imagine that you get:
* The first digit is 1, 2, or 3
* The first digit is odd
* One of the numbers is 1

This is the worst case scenario. Now you're down to 11 possible numbers after 3 guesses. If you'd just purely guessed the middle number, you'd have gotten 54 -> 32 -> 21 and you'd have 11 numbers left (10 to 20).

Basically, I'm not sure that you can statistically lose by taking the "Examine" option.

The ones I keep losing are like...

Second digit is odd.
Second digit is 3, 4 or 5.
- narrowed down to 13, 15, 23, 25, 33, 35, 43, 45, 53, 55, 63, 65, 73, 75, 83, 85, 93, 95... still pretty bad...
One of the digits is 3.
- narrowed down to 13, 23, 33, 35, 43, 53, 63, 73, 83, 93... With two guesses left, I'd feel forced to take a last hint and hope for "one of the digits is 1" or "the combination is less than 23"... with three guesses left, I'd take the hint confident I'd narrow it down with 1-2 more guesses.

I've never gotten two "One of the Digits is" on the same set. Also, I was wrong about the worst combination. The worst combination is actually:
1) First Digit is Odd
2) First Digit is 3, 4, or 5
3) The number is between 30 and 60
4) One of the digits is 3
5) Second digit is even

That way you've spent 5 guesses (would have narrowed it down to 2.8/90 = ~3% with pure number guesses) and only have it narrowed down to 10 numbers (10/90 = 11.11%).

On my first page, last worm, got my 2nd brown box.

Got the ring, no casket prowess, nothing.

This might not be the right place, But just some random info on "Increases Weaponskill Damage".

I went and used Atonement, As we know, caps at 750. With "Increases Weaponskill Damage" from GoV Pages, It does 765 Capped.

Its an 2% Increase in Weaponskill Damage for Stage 1. IDK Each after that!

A week solid in Zerhun Mines. Xp'd Pup from 85-90 and some additional merits. Capped Casket, Capped TH, Capped HP/MP, Capped WS Dmg. All for..........nothing! Filled inventory on Bat wings, Ether's, random gear and NO RING! I finally left and called it good, I guess I'll try for Fisher's Rope and Torque. Screw you SE.

Has anyone confirmed if the cap for prowess varies depending on which one it is? I've been on Lv.5 Casket for two days, and someone else in zone also has been stuck at Lv.5 for about four days.

Also, at one point I was getting a prowess upgrade on almost every regime, but now I very rarely get one... I've had about two upgrades in my last twenty or so regimes.
