May 2011 - Additional Version Updates

I, for one, welcome this new SE FFXI team.

They're giving us extra updates that we want, and they're not making us wait until the mini-update (whose purpose, btw, was for these kinds of adjustments) which was scheduled for next month.

I have never seen anyone who has had so much constant shit talked to him just not even bat an eye about it. I personally would probably be getting pissed off at people and trying to come up with good comebacks, but Malacite just doesnt seem to be flustered by anything anyone says at all. I have to admit I find that to be an admirable quality to realize shit people say on the internet doesn't really matter.

Actually I would have been okay with:

Talk to NPC, select 3 Atmas starting at last atma selected, confirm they're correct.

Instead of:
Talk to npc, select atma, scroll through list from beginning, confirm it's correct.

I'll have to go see how the new way they handle this is tonight at some point.

Re: the LS thing.

I can tell you from the first round of merges, LS's run out too fast. When Midgard merged with Quetz, there was NO ls's available to buy for two weeks. My main social broke up partly due to that (and some drama) and I think a lot of other ls's died..for the lack of a shellholder.

I had been urging friends on other servers to have someone pick up a shell before the merge so said shells won't be clamless; I do hope some listened!

then next week sometime is the release of the new ??? placements.

it seems they intend on doing whatever updates they can without maintenance. possibly only partial maintenance on select zones for a few minutes is required. or for player-based things, not at all.. but I guess we never knew that was possible..
