    Lawn Care Question..

Recently bought a house and finally got the pipes for the sprinkler system epoxied from cracks. My question is this, where should the sprinkler heads be located? I'm only noticing them on the sides of my house. Tried google but that kept giving me sites trying to sell me shit.

Depends on what the previous owner wanted watered, and how much range the heads have in what direction.
There is no standard setup, but there are a lot of things factored in.

If they wanted the whole yard watered, and depending on the range and direction of the heads, the streams from two heads would overlap slightly. So if each head watered 5' 360 degrees, look in 9~10' intervals.

If it looks like a really crappy system, and if the house has low water pressure, there probably arent many heads.

If you find a couple, the rest probably follow suit.

Couldnt really figure out if youre talking about locating the current ones, or putting down new ones.

In either situation, the above still applies.

Put heads where you want stuff to be watered. If you have a weak system or water flow, the closer the heads will have to be (and in most cases you wont be able to water very much if it's really bad).

If youre laying new pipe you will have to call your local pipe/wire finding company (free in most cases) so you know where not to dig. Once you find out where not to dig, dig and lay the pipe in a logical manner so when you go to dig in the future you wont hit them, or roots wont get them, etc. Also lay pipe so it's in short distance so that the water flow will still have some pressure behind it.
