No. If I remember correctly, someone tried to skill up on them past the range where they would have gotten skill ups and assumed they'd been patched.
They still work up to Lv.80 or so.

I've skilled on them recently to get my mules staff skill up,they cap at the old A+, 276. It slows down terribad once you get to the 250 range though, just FYI. I just left her there for 3 days while I played Zelda, running around every few hours to change Fortilaces.

Also, don't be a chode and leave a 2% fortilace.

Maybe I just came back at a bad time since 99 cap will be out soon.

XP will go nuts the min the 99 cap comes out and people work out how to break it. There were people hitting 95 on servers before some people had downloaded the update last time. Certainly there were a number of people recapped on 1 job within 2 hours. Then everyone spends the next month or two xping to get the other 89 jobs they levelled caught up. There's a little flurry right now because those jobs people slacked off on are now being capped.

On shiva there is an almost endless xp session going on in Abyssea - Latheine on Worms. It's always worth sending tells to party leaders there.

What's the best method of leveling up at low levels these days? Pre-Abyssea. I figure I'll just cheap my way to 95 through Abyssea like everyone else does but I wasn't sure what the best approach for say levels 15-30 or whatever are.

Obviously it can all be soloed but I'm sure there's something faster.

I'd do Zeruhn GoV to 10, Dangruf Wadi GoV to the early 20's than move over to the Maze to 30. I've noticed that Gusgen has became a popular spot for GoV groups, but I've never tried it.

Currently going through the beginning with a fresh character. My plan has been level MNK to 18->WAR to 30->unlock BST and DNC, get DNC to 49 and BST to cap. For gil I've been grinding fame up to sell for some needed money, and will solo farm Dyna to buy the scrolls back as I need them.

That's basically what I'm doing now, though with my original character. But it's almost the same, as BST and DNC weren't even unlocked until yesterday.

Another idea for gil if you're starting as BST is to look into soloing BCNM 20 for Thunder Spirit Pact scrolls which go for at least half a million gil on most servers and drops fairly often in my experience. I use BST/WHM with a half decent melee set (mostly scaled down higher level gear at this point) and a level-appropriate Charm set and can get by on ~10k in meds per run. You can read about the exact strategy online in a bunch of places or you can PM me for more info. This is actually a good idea for anyone sitting on Beastmen's Seals who has BST20/WHM10 and wants to turn them into some extra gil.

Okay so I am new. I am patching and updating now and just came to realize I will also need the abbysea expansion as well. After looking all I am finding is the digital download for pc. I need it for xbox 360. Something I'm missing? Forgive my laziness please for asking and not researching. I am at 90% and was hoping to find an answer ASAP.

It's included with the latest release. So you don't have to download anything. You merely have to purchase the upgrade from SE and use the CD in POL to upgrade your account.
