Let's try a more constructive approach. I do a lot of stuff solo on BST, can also use NIN or DNC. Seals for AF3+1, and pretty much all +2 cards/coins/jewels, Dynamis coins, Limbus, etc. Once you're self-sufficient, the game opens up a lot - you're not trapped in Jeuno waiting on a shout and are in control of your own time.

If there's something I need that I can't solo, I ask LS, or farm up a pop for the relevant NM and either grab a shout group or sell the pop in return for the drop I'm after. Can do most things this way. Failing that, can just farm up the gil and buy it from an LS or the AH, or just hang out at the pop spot and help kill NM in return for the drop you need (least successful method).

Sorry but when the same person asks numerous questions that are easy to figure out especially a player of his tenure, I lose patience for it. He's asked in I believe 4 threads what gear to use on Thf. He couldn't even figure out how to follow the magian trial chart on otherwiki after myself and others explained it numerous times. It's obvious he asks questions before even trying to figure it out on his own.

And your response is essentially saying exactly what I said, just with sugar on top.

Edit: His obvious QQ post about not being able to get anything done just annoys me. Yeah maybe my original post was harsh, but cmon. This game is easy mode now, not that it was that hard in the first place. He's been cruising these boards for 5 years. Is it really so hard to figure out, especially for someone that has played before? Even strictly solo, nothing essentially has changed except some new events.

3)enjoy doing things solo and figure out the best way to do things

lol... that was lovely. Anywho, I came back a few months back, and now I'm having some trouble dual boxing Sobek with a NIN/WAR & WHM/BLM and was hoping for some advice. I just got to the stage and have only fought him twice. The first time was a breeze... I stunned everything just fine and barely even hit yellow HP throughout the fight. The second time I figured I'd throw a pop set together real quick before bed and just got fucking destroyed. I knew I was tired and not really focused, but I figured as easy as it was the first time it would be no problem.

So... got him down to about 20% maybe, and he hit my NIN with that petrify move that resets hate, and jumped on my WHM, killing it. I got the WHM back up, got RR on, cured up my NIN, and then he did it again. After the WHM died, some f'ing BST stole hate while I still had it claimed but was petrified... I voked it when I woke up, and it hit me with tyrant tusk and killed me. Game over.

So I guess the questions are, is this how it's going to go for 50 skins? Is it just a gimmicky fight? Should I switch to /dnc on my NIN in case WHM goes down? Should I stun the petrify move every time? And what's the deal with that BST stealing hate? I'm guessing I just ran into a random idiot because the dude kept sending me tells and shit, and was talking in /say to another party telling them he just wanted the atma... and after I wiped he grabbed the Sobek and invited me, but ended up getting us all killed again because he was trying to proc red and it kept Tyrant Tusk'ing us... it was a real demon hell ride. Advice and an idea of what to expect would be greatly appreciated.

On my old character I had that happen a few times too when doing Kannagi. There was one specifically that just seemed to curb stomp my group and we had to zombie for a bit to get the whm and nin unweakened and recover. It was embarrassing! If you plan on just throwing a few sets together at a time, maybe it would be beneficial to you to shout for a helper, preferably another mage, if you don't need the +2 items.

lol. I'm on all day every day until July and I'm doing the best I can and making the most of my time. You're very quick to judge and to me THAT'S very annoying? See what I did? Your post was irrelevant just like this part of THIS post is irrelevant. Keep your feelings to yourself when no one cares about them. Stating that the game feels hard to accomplish anything after returning should yield a response just like Midnight's, not your butt hurt response.

Game did open up a lot after I found some help to get Regen Atmas and got my evasion cap'd on THF. Then I finally broke my Dagger of Trials so now I've got Evisceration so it's becoming more and more easy.

Basically returning requires trial and error and getting used to everything which is very frustrating. Trying to find groups and pops for +2 items now and finish up some random drops from NMs in Abyssea.

Anyone on Ragnarok that can recommend a good shell that does Abyssea often?

Abyssea isn't really done as a linkshell event, it's a lowman group of friends type of deal, as nothing is really beneficial to have more than 6 people other than holding sets for empyrean grinding.

i just came back and the whole voidwatch thing is blowing my mind. it seemed like a really daunting task but i picked up my first city clear today so it's not all bad. but with all the content, i'm completely lost as to what kind of gear i should be looking for.

please help me with acceptable gear sets for a kannagi nin, non-ukon war, GS drk, and whm. thanks a lot.

go NIN/DNC, violent flourish awful eye and tyrant tusk. use your whm to stun blizzaga IV. Make sure stona is on your whm's macro bars and spam it asap. fight shouldn't last long enough for the WHM's blink/SS to wear, and you should be pulling hate back before it kills him.

I never had issues with Sobek either being NIN/WAR + WHM, or THF/NIN + WHM, if you're NIN/DNC you're making it take longer to proc red on on NM's beforehand because you lose lots of options. I don't personally use any software for dualboxxing on 1 machine, when I would see in log that that move was getting used, I'd just immediately Stona, if on NIN, I'd voke, on THF I'd SA, and 75% of the time when it hate reset it would stop to cast a spell so it'd still be standing next to DD to melee hate back.

The closest thing to endgame is Voidwatch/Providence. Anything resembling old school Dynamis/Limbus/Ein(tab)/Sky/Sea just doesn't exist anymore.

What about RDM soloing is it still a cake walk on most NMs?
