Will the buffs/exp persist even if you sync?

Like... Lv20->30 then sync to your mule@20, ->30 again... mule gets new lv.20 job (sync to mule again), 20 ->30 again -- all while keeping mega-ultra-killage-powars?

As my sig says, I'm a returning vet. I am starting over and all the noobie love on Quetz had me join. I've done all the HNM scene the first go around and its not really my cup of tea this time. Looking to have a good time socially and with limited playing. I'm still pretty up on mechanics and whatnot, just Abyessia has my head spinning. Any linkshell willing to lend me a hand?

I wish FFXI atlas's bestiary section still worked, it would be amazing for putting together small groups now. I'd remake it if i had a damn clue what I was doing/it wouldn't take forfuckingever to type in all the mob information.

There's a couple GoV books that are in the 30's-40's, but they're not nearly as nice as the gusgen book since you have to walk all the way back to the zone to get to the book. If they'd put the Crawlers Nest book in the ballsack room I could see that being a 20k per hour camp.

I don't know what kind of a support network you have this time around, but your first priority should probably be the Abyssites of Celerity. If you were very efficient and had some gil to blow, your best bet is going to be to trade a bunch of animal parts to the NPC in Vunkerl to pump up your fame (and Cruor a little) and then do the Black Whisker quest for an Abyssite of Celerity (-4 hours on stone regeneration time). Depending how quick you are, you might be able to do it all on your first stone.

I bought ten items from the AH on my mule and main (just go through the ffxiclopedia list finding cheap ones) and the whisker (which you can sell back after doing the quest) and had the abyssite in under ten minutes. You don't need to zone to spam the ward quest.

Has anyone thought of doing like ppl in wow do, and go for some level 75 Linkshells? With the recent(?) changes to 3 kings it might be fun. I as an old player would really enjoy the level 75 content in a more laid back enviroment.

Im a returning player just looking for some advice, ive been reading this thread just want to know a couple of things.With abyssea do ppl still lvl the old way? or it is just new/returning players who havent touched abyssea?.

Since i started a fresh character ive just dinged 32 whats my best options with regard to abyssea im pretty sure all my friends have quit so im not sure how to get started with it. Last question is kinda offtopic but just wanted to know if theres any servers with a few eu shells on it.

Reason you guys started from scratch? FFXIV is quite boring to me with no reason to rush to 50 on multiple jobs. I'm willing to give it up for a while and start playing XI again. You guys (Sath and others who are on Quetz) starting a little LS or something?

COR has kind of fallen out of favor for abyssea events at least. But any job can join Abyssea exp parties. Honestly Abyssea exp parties are just a desperate clusterfuck to keep the exp coming in fast so those would be totally workable and no one would care. Ideally there are better swords/daggers to use now but the nicer ones are magian trials or shinryuu drops (final abyssea boss) so you wouldn't have access to those for some while. But more to the point, once you gain access to good Atmas you can just put TP regain on or something if you want.

There are oberon bullets to use now at level 80 after steel.

SE has definitely been trying to push for more pewpew COR recently, triple shot/af3. Steel's are the way to go if you can't make your own Oberon, the prices, at least on shiva, are through the roof. Mostly because the ore needed to make the ingot only comes from Campaign, which has been pretty dead.

On the melee side COR is on Twilight Knife, but not magian knives, Sagasinger, but not magian swords. So your OA2-X times weapons are the same. Wildfire will outdo Slugshot by quite a bit in Abyssea, though. As well as being one of the best brew weaponskills. I suggest starting on an empyrean if you have the ability, or you can solo a Walk of Echoes magian gun with Wildfire, it'll take a little bit, but it can be done.

Edit: With recent changes to Carabosses drop pool, you can probably shout your way to an Armageddon by offering the AF3+2 items.

Yeah, gearing up a few members that missed out on farming with carabosse af3+2 drops while doing my Army. Its a good incentive.

MNK + WHM Duo at level 30 doing page 2 in gusgen. 60-80 without ring per kill, 100+ with ring. Was able to do a page in like 5 mins. Rinse repeat..starts at 800 exp and goes up from there. Pretty sexy.

I play FFXIV still too but I basically just craft all day and get nothing done. I hate the battle system.
