Error code: FFXI-3001

Sorry if this was posted before, I didn't see anything in search.

The other day when I tried to zone into Meriphataud Mountains, I got stuck at the downloading data screen and timed out and got the error code. I wasn't able to log in on my PC or Xbox until my brother logged on at his house and moved my character.

From what I saw from Googling, it seems like a few people had this happen after their server was merged. A lot of people said they were able to get back on from restarting pol/pc/modem/router, but I've had no success. The only thing I didn't try was connecting directly to the modem because that's not something I can reasonably do just to play FFXI.

I sent an email out to SE Tech Support, but I doubt I'll hear anything back that I didn't already try. My ports are forwarded and I changed nothing from before and after.

Assuming you are on wireless not a wired connection?

They're both wired. I think they may be routed through a wireless router if it makes a difference. I can go look what brand and models everything is if it'll help.

Also, I set up static IPs for both, to go with the port forwarding. Its still just the one zone though, I kinda want to try it again after this update.
