Someone hasn't heard of scarification yet if the corset trend disturbs them.

Didn't we have a thread about that sometime last year?
Wow that's gross.
The biggest thing that makes me facepalm in this article is that its $500 for what amounts to basically a temporary tattoo that has a high probability of leaving you with skin damage. Smart.
Obviously there's always been that underground group of freaks who permanently screw with their shit, but this article was pointing more at dumb teens adopting a stupid trend that requires a little less commitment but with the same health risks.
ITT: Parenting fails in the UK, Lady Gaga is a great role model, trendy kids are dumber than ever lol
They are surface piercings and the body will reject it 95% of the time, which can leave varying amounts of scarring. Purely softcore in terms of bodmodding and how the shit this is even an issue in the first place?
Thanks for that tidbit Dr. Oz. The point was that it's a stupid trend reaching into the mainstream where these dumb hoes that aren't experienced with any real body modding are being sold a lie that its not dangerous and scarring won't be noticeable, which is a hell of a way to make $500.
The location of the piercings is dumb as hell too, if you want to roll the dice and possibly end up with a serious infection. I really don't care what people do with their bodies, but this is one of the more idiotic fads to surface in awhile, even when discounting the cheap aesthetic quality to it.
My friend got them like 5 or 6 years ago. She's a volleyball player, and would tape them down when playing a game. She didn't get any weird scars or anything though... But, yea, for all the pain of it, it just isn't worth it.
