    NYC & Miami Trip advice

Thinking fly to these 2 place to visit since I've never been there.
7 to 10 day including flight.
Major things I want to do for sure is catch Yankee's game and Heat's game, so it's gotta be sometime in May next year.

Any recommendations where I should stay, and which restaurant is a must?
Budget is anything average or a little bit above will be fine.
I don't enjoy night life, so we can skip the bars and clubs.

    Thanks in advance!

What kind of food you like? Meaning are you up for Cuban/South American?

Anything that's good and not too expensive will be fine.
    Even fast foods.

Sergio's and El Rey de las Fritas. Hit them up if you remember. I lived in East Long Island on and off for a few years and I can honestly tell you the best NY style pizza I've had was here in Marino's, but I haven't been to NY since I was 15, in '01, and you're going to NYC anyway so fuck that. Eat some pan con bistec, media noches, croquetas and tostones. Not the healthiest, but never a regretful decision. :3

E: Rey is about $6-9 with a juice depending on what you get and Sergio's is a little more. I pig out with $30 after tip(2 people).

You're like the 50th person that I hear mention this halal place and I've never been there. My buddy who eats there all the time says the guy makes so much bank that he just recently bought a lamborghini. I'm not into all that spicy shit tho.

Also there's too many good restaurants to really mention or go to visit in the city. The top notch stuff will almost certainly be priced out of your target range as well and might not even be the tastiest food. While not in NYC Azucar is across the holland? I think tunnel in Jersey city and is great for latin food, believe it's cuban. Don Cocqui in New Rochelle is also very good and not price prohibitive, and Sofrito which is in NYC, on 10th ave somewhere. Latin Cuisine and it's co owned by Carlos Beltran.

I live in Queens, and just generally telling someone to stay in Queens without being specific is a bad idea.
I do agree Queens is the best borough to stay in for a tourist due to the easy accessibility to and from the airports vis public transportation but certain areas you want to avoid due to lack of said transportation and shitty roads.
If you're planning on driving around, be prepared for shit roads and crazy drivers, and even crazier bus drivers, they'll run you off the road. Always keep toll money on you or get an EZPass. Try not to drive around during rush hours, which in Manhattan is 3-7pm, seriously. There are a lot of places you can get to faster using MTA instead of driving during those times. And parking is shit, hard to find and never free.
If you're planning on getting around by public transportation, learn how to abuse websites like hopstop.com and mta.info. DO NOT depend on public transportation during the weekend, maintenance and repairs are always being done, fucking up routes and forcing people to take shitty shuttle buses.

As for food, if you visit the WTC area, check out Blockheads(Great Burritos) and Shinjuku(Good Sushi). As for pizza in that area, Portabello's is a great place. The owner is the friendliest owner of any store I've ever visited. As for food around Yankee's Stadium, I can't help you, don't live in the area and don't like baseball so I have no need to know the area. Also, if you're a health food nut, try to find a WholeFoods. They really good at provided food for people who are health nuts more than any other chain food store in New York and are easy to find, at least in Manhattan.

Overall, the best area to spend most of your time in is in betwen 34th and 42nd Streets and Lexington and 8th Avenues. A lot of action all day.
Central Park is a great day life place to visit, a lot of random things go on around there and considering the park takes up 40blocks(it's literally its own village).

I don't see the benefit to staying in queens just so you can take the HORRENDOUS public transportation to the airports, especially since he'd be here for a few days. if it's your first time in the city, you'll almost guaranteed be staying on the island for the stuff you do, so get a hotel there. what's "not too expensive" for food? I know a million restaurants but "good and not too expensive" is far too vague to give any sort of real recommendation. that being said, fine dining is really out in nyc right now, so I can help you find some amazing places that are not expensive at all.

I think the public transportation on LI is a lot shittier than the public transportation in NYC. I could be wrong though, I haven't taken it since they raised the price to $2.50.

go to Grimaldi's right under the Brooklyn bridge, Brooklyn side go with a big group if you can 5 or 6 plus for quick seating. if not expect to wait. i go in about once a month. White pie is a must along with pepperoni with roasted peppers. Only the Brooklyn one though, the Hoboken one isn't the same. Also if you piss the guy off he'll fuck with ya, but it's some of the best damn pizza i have had ever.

Not really related but last time I was in Miami airport, airport security stopped me because I was travelling with Malaysian passport (Islamic country) and searched through my luggage!

    Worst experience of my life!

I told them "Do you think fucking terrorist will use Louis Vuitton luggages to store bombs?"

    Not going to Miami anymore!
