Happens all the time. At my school (elementary through high school), we had metal detectors, 24/7 365 police (not security) presence, and kids still got guns, drugs, and other shit in the school. Crazy world we live in.

One of my worst experiences as a cop was responding to a shooting in a bad part of D.C. Arrived on scene and saw a 5 year old who got caught up in a drive by with his lungs blown out the back of his ribcage. They caught the suspects two blocks away and the resulting confession? "Yeah that little nigga robbed me at the store the other day so I shot his little ass."
