I think you're underestimating the quality of the translation, it's not some sloppy rush job with broken english and constant grammatical errors. You obviously want to play the game, you really have absolutely no reason not to.

A top notch VA does jackshit for me if I don't understand it. I'd much rather play it in English if the option is there. Only deal with subs when theres no choice.

Playing it now doesn't stop you from playing it later anyway.

EDIT: Also, I just thought about something potentially scary about TYPE-0 HD.
They seem to love to redo the music in their remasters. There is the potential that they could ruin this OST as they did with KH 1.5.

Yep! It runs pretty well. Only major slowdown I had was during a cutscene transition early in the game.
No matter what I did, couldn't get that particular scene to run well and the game crashed the first time I tried to use the codex.

Other than that its been solid.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Coming to PS4

Update: An earlier headline for this post stated that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is coming to PS Vita, which was incorrect. Type-0 is coming to PS4 in North America and Europe.

I’d like to start this out by thanking everyone who let us know how badly you wanted this game to come to North America. Ever since the original PlayStation Portable release in Japan, you guys have never given up on it, raising your voices in an effort to see this title come to North America and Europe. Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s coming and it’s going to be in HD.

Hmm nope. The fan translation (planned for August) was released early because they got insider info that SE was going to announce Type 0 HD at E3.

To those guys out there that are playing this wonderful game already... who are your favorite characters/party setups?

I really love to play as Cinque but I'm not really sure what her best synergies are with (its not like I've tried that many combos yet though, and its not like she really needs anything but to stay alive since she rips and tears all day) For now, I've kinda put her on the bench and been running with King/Queen/Rem.

This team has it all, with Rem's convert MP is never a problem so magic is what I tend to use for power hits. King has Fire RF/Endless Waltz/Esunaga. Queen has Blizzaga BOM/Cross Judge/Protectga and Rem is runnin Convert/Thunder SHG/Curaga.
I don't really have King with any sort of magic boosting stuff so I only really bother casting fire when things are really weak to it but the other two do amazing damage with their spells. Queen's been able to reach 9999 damage with ice stuff since around Lv25.

But yeah, this team has speed, range and power all at once. Its pretty awesome but I am wondering what everyone else is runnin'


EDIT: Also, Queen and Rem dodge stuff intentionally and unintentionally just while attacking. Those normal movesets are godly. Obviously King's at range so he doesn't need to dodge half the time.

Some of the English VA's revealed

The first English voice actors for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy Agito have been revealed.

Matthew Mercer (Chrom in Fire Emblem: Awakening, Alvin in Tales of Xillia, Leon in Resident Evil 6) will voice Trey.

Orion Acaba (Jonathan in Shin Megami Tensei IV, Apollo Justice in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies) will voice Nine.

And Cristina Vee (Noel Vermillion in BlazBlue, Homura Akemi in Puella Magi Madoka Magica) will voice Cinque.

I haven't really messed with team setups yet, but character wise I think Ace, Cater, Sice, Eight, Queen and Rem are the easiest to play while also being very effective. I have to agree that Rem is amazing, not only is Convert super useful but her attacks are hard to hit and she has a good evasion. Ace is probably my favourite due to deck shufflin', cool dodges and good ranged. I'll probably run Ace (with Wall), Rem and have the last slot as a floater for whatever charcters I need.

I might use Sice because her scythe attacks can be used for evasion and her Vortex skills are cool, Eight is just fast. I might practice more with some of the other guys like Jack and Cinque, but not really a fan of the heavy hitters.

edit: Actually, it juuuuuuuuust baaaarely fit! :D Excited to give this a whirl, although I am somewhat tempted to wait for the HD remake.

I hate how expensive vita memory cards are.. Eagerly awaiting black friday or something to buy a large one.

I was determined to get good with Cinque as soon as I saw the Moglin scene. Didn't take long and I really came to enjoy playing as her. She 'stronk' and it feels good to oneshot mooks without even needing to worry about kill-sight or anything. Not to mention that Hurricane Mace is absolutely hilarious on bosses. Just watch the bars melt away.

But yeah, I generally agree with how you feel about the characters. I didn't like Ace in the first mission 'cause I didn't really understand his shuffle ability but after I paid attention to it, I started to like him a lot.
The only character I can't really enjoy playing much is Deuce. I like everyone else.

I've had a small crash course with basically everyone but Deuce who yeah...isn't very good (at least now/till figured out). Cinque is slow but holy shit damage along with Earthquake and other specials, she's growing on me. Helps that she can stun which is great. Jack on the other hand continues to fail me, not only is he slow/awkward, but Foresight is limited. Does damage, but dies equally fast...maybe I'm missing something. So glad it's the weekend soon so I can sit down and play the shit out of this.
