Old news but worth mentioning for anyone attending Anime Expo.

LOS ANGELES (January 17, 2011) Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Anime Expo — North America’s largest anime and manga event — will present the highly-anticipated world premiere of “LASTEXILE -Fam, The Silver Wing-.” Anime Expo returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 1 – 4, 2011 with the largest exhibition and program in its history.

Closest thing I can think of to being decent is zombie, but even then it's more on the mediocre side with too much forced gag and fanservice rather than a comedy than stand on its own.

The official Japanese portal site for the Gundam robot franchise confirmed on Monday that a new work in the franchise will be revealed via a live event on June 13 at 1:30 p.m. in Japan (12:30 a.m. EDT). The site promises that everything about the setting, story, mecha, characters, and more will be unveiled about the project. The event will also announce items from the Bandai Namco Group. (Sunrise, the studio behind Gundam, is a Bandai Namco Group company.)

The July issue of Fujimi Shobo's Monthly Dragon Age magazine is announcing on Thursday that a second anime season of Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? has been green-lit. The first anime season based on Shinichi Kimura's original light novel series aired in Japan from January to March.

I don't hate on Seisouhen OAV, despite its non-canon. Maybe that's why I feel it doesn't deserve hate. It was quite beautiful actually, if you take it as just another samurai drama and don't really connect it to the rest of the series. Sure it is no Tsuiokuhen but it wasn't bad at all. The manga only offered a meager ending as closure, anyway, so it's not like they could simply animate that as it would have been probably 10mins long max.

I have a vested interest in Kenshin, as I love the series dearly. I really...really...REALLY hope Deen doesn't fuck this up. I'm already kind of meh on the character designs; they look very yaoi-type (while I normally like that design, I don't think it fits Kenshin well, I would have liked to see something a little more 'realistic' as it is pretty damn historically-themed). Curious if Noriyuki Asakura is doing the soundtrack again, he did a good job with the TV series. If I had to pick anyone (realistically) to do the soundtrack besides him, Wada Kaoru (Inuyasha) or Kawai Kenji (Seirei no Moribito) would be nice.

At least the Jinchuu arc will most likely be properly animated this time. Being that images of Tomoe have already been released, though, I wonder if the series will go in true chronological order or the order the manga went in.

The July issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine is announcing on Friday that Tetsuro Araki (Death Note, Highschool of the Dead) is directing a new project. The series script supervisor is Hiroyuki Yoshino (Macross Frontier, My-HiME), while redjuice, the artist best known as the illustrator of the music group supercell, is working on the original character designs. The group supercell's leader ryo himself is composing the music.

The story revolved around Shū Ouma, an unsociable 17-year-old second-year high school student, and a 17-year-old rival named Gai Tsutsugami who is a young "Jiikundō" pilot of a guerilla organization.

there's also another noitaminA show called "UN-GO" By Studio Bones, but no story info or character illustrations on the official website.
