Mio is my favorite character in Nichijou, so watching that episode was really special for me.

The whole life-time friendship coupon was super cheesy but was adorable. Wasn't expecting that from a comedy show. Nichijou is pretty awesome.

Steins;gate

I noticed a few of you guys missed some minor points about the plots, just thumbing through a few of the spoilers. I spent hours going through comments and wiki info to try and squeeze out some more of the awesomeness so take a peek below if you want some stuff cleared up. Hopefully you guys frequent this thread enough to see this in a couple of hours, and not months.

Suzu/Daru/Moeka

Daru meets his wife at the Comima convention thing, she's a cosplayer Amane Yuki. This was set in the Visual Novel, for whatever reason they left that tidbit out in the anime.

Suzuha disappears because Okabe was able to fix the timeline, so that Suzuha never had to go back to 1975 to setup everything for the IBN5100. So inside the time machine she disappears, and will be born again in 7 years after Daru marries Amane. They get married in 2013 if I remember correctly.

Episode 23/24 Time Machine Weirdness

The time-travel in steins gate works a little different to concept normally thought about. There is only 'one true world', and modifying time changes this one true world, including peoples memories. After Okabe goes back to the future, he never went back in time.

There's a lot more information about the series than what is in the Game and Anime. There's 3 mangas out there that tell the same story through different viewpoints, such as FBs and Suzuha's viewpoint, that is where I got most of the information in the spoilers above. The 3rd manga covers some sub-arc stuff that isn't super relevant.

Personally I loved the ending ep. 24. I watched the very first episode again right after and it's so fitting that the first episode is truly the last episode after you watch the series. There is a movie coming out that will not be a rehash of the anime, and I'm definitely looking forward to that. Definitely check out the 3 manga I mentioned above if you want more indepth character development and a few minor things explained.

Yeah I got a little obsessed last night and burned through the entire anime. I noticed a few pieces were missing and I found that IBN5100.net site that had all that extra information. It also has a few Q&As that explain a few minor things about the characters.

I'm on Episode 9 of Nichijou and I'm having trouble getting into it... I mean, it certainly has parts that make me chuckle, but I sometimes find myself waiting for a segment to end because it just isn't funny. Does the show pick up at some point, or is there just a certain state of mind that you have to have to get the most out it?

I think it's one of those series that is great to watch once a week, but hard to marathon.

Nah I marathoned like 1-11 or something, loved it. You must not enjoy slice of life anime, did you like Ika Musume by any chance? It's the same deal, cute characters, HNNG moments, moments where you need to 'know that feel', etc.

It was too long a road for the pay-off to be epic like the first 9-10 episodes. I'll have to give it to my friend and see what his impression is from a batch viewer. The build up to the bog battle wasn't bad, but the actual battle itself was hellish. How faithful was this to the manga? Cause it really felt dragged out.

Honestly it felt even more dragged out in the manga. The second season of the anime covered about 13 volumes of the manga. 8.5 of those volumes cover just the Bog arc.

Best episode of forever. One of the best anime ever made by the hand of mere mortals. This episode was so funny and unbelievably retarded I almost died watching it.

i'd imagine he's being ironic and the episode wasn't meant to be comedic at all

either that or it turned into a comedy series that's decent halfway into the series? who knows, i kinda stopped caring at episode 1
