This was just incredible. I nearly let this one slip by me. I won't make the same mistake so easily again.

Also watched episode 2 of Double J. It's only 4 minutes and I like the ED animation, so why not?

The battle episodes were always the best parts of the series. I was just hoping they'd start strong with it than a beach episode. also I re-watched the episode, your right it was hilarious. I have no idea why I didn't laugh once the first time... maybe I was tired after 3 hours straight of anime.

Based on various reviews I'm going to check out Usagi Drop, Ikoku Meiro no Croisee, and Mawaru Penguindrum (this one on BG's recommendation as I didn't see any other reviews out there). The first episode of the first two were well-rated across several reviews so they look to be worth picking up.

Usagi Drop Ep1

I'm amazed. What more can I say? This episode was overflowing with drama and heartwarming moments which kept me at the edge of my seat at all times. The 20 minutes felt like 5 minutes to me. the characters are just so well-realized and compelling.

I just wanted to cosign this, this is the first show I've seen in a long time where the characters actually felt like real people and not just a personality archetype. This was one of the shows I was really looking forward too, and it has more than lived up to expectations. I can't recommend this show enough.

Edit: Going with the above posters, I really enjoyed Usagi Drop as well. Great first episode, and I'm actually happy it'll only last 12 episodes. I dropped the manga after the timeskip, and from what I read about the ending, I'll pass.

Bakatest isn't picked up by any sub groups. I have no idea why. S1 was really popular with the weeaboos.

I seem to find myself only watching Ro-Kyu-Bu in anticipation/hopes of some Space Jam shit going down with the MC.

I'm 90% sure it won't happen, but if it does, it justifies the entire series to me. Don't question it, I know it's insane.

Based on various reviews I'm going to check out Usagi Drop, Ikoku Meiro no Croisee, and Mawaru Penguindrum (this one on BG's recommendation as I didn't see any other reviews out there). The first episode of the first two were well-rated across several reviews so they look to be worth picking up.

From the ones I've seen (others being Sacred7, No6, BloodC, Kamimemo, Kamidolls, and Idolmaster) the ones you listed are by far ahead of the pack, in my opinion. Ikoku Meiro was one of the cutest things I have ever seen - although Nyanpire really gives it a run for its money, but that's a less realistic kind of cute.

Blood C is really just as crappy as I expected it to be, anything CLAMP has touched since Geass (I know they didn't do the story) has basically sucked ass (and many would argue everything since a bit before Geass). I don't understand what happened, did they just get lucky in their earlier days with stuff that didn't suck? Kobato had very few redeeming qualities, maybe the manga is better? I miss when CLAMP didn't suck, can we have a couple more Angelic Layers or Cardcaptor Sakuras (and not the Tsubasa kind)?
