seriously, why do you watch the non uncensored airing for this kind of animu
Actually wondering how they didn't censor these:
Spoiler: show
I LOL'd at that censoring. Seriously, why not just play 24 minutes of a black screen with nothing but the audio track.
So far, I have watched:
Blade - Awful
Sacred Seven - OK
Kamisama Dolls - Seems pretty cool, will probably watch this one all the way through.
Something great this summer season that I am missing?
Purely from this season? The favourites so far are Ikoku Meiro no Crois, Mawaru Penguindrum and Usagi Drop. But it's still only 1 episode, so that could change everything.
2 more episodes... its going to be near the end of 2012 before we see the end o_O
So, maybe I'm missing something, but Ikoku was pretty boring. As cliched as Sacred Seven is, the first episode was more entertaining than Ikoku.
Favorites so far would have to be Mawaru, Usagi, No.6 and Baka to Test.
Ikoku
This series is slightly overated imo. It's not terrible or unwatchable, but it's not exactly what I wanted either. The concept, a culture clash between Japan and France, seemed interesting at first, but it's not well executed. Not only is this 19th century hardly believable (everything is too clean and perfect, it almost looks like something you would see at the mall), but the japanese aspect is also simplified to a point where it's amost meaningless. All that is left are Yune's cute antics, but even that is going to get old quickly. Personally, I was hoping for something closer to spice and wolf, with a crafter instead of a peddler, but the story is nowhere near as clever. I will keep watching, I don't have anything better to do, but I don't see what's the big deal with this.
No.6
I seriously don't understand why so many people are bothered by two guys holding hands for half a second. If they start kissing and making out, maybe, but that scene in episode 1 was done innocently. I'm not saying the manga doesnt have a ton of bl innuendo, but it seem like a stupid reasons to skip this otherwise awesome anime (so far)
Penguidrum
I was very pleased with the first episode. The art is beautiful, the animation is great, and the setting was much more interesting than I thoughts from the synopsis. I expect a lot of comedy and randomness in the following episodes, but if they can keep some semblance of plot like they did, I would be very happy
Bunny Drop
Not much to add over what was said already. I was anticipating this one for a long time, and it didn't let me down. My only gripe is that Rin isnt completely believable as a kid, but w/e, it was still great.
Other than that, Stein Gate is still awesome, Tiger&Bunny got back on my good side with a few solid episodes (I enjoyed the end of the last arc, and the last 2 episodes a lot), Nichijou make me laugh every time, and Hanasaku is still boring as hell (how can you make 2 awesome episodes and follow with this completely uninteresting content devoid of any emotions)
It's a shame Nichijou isn't doing so well, that shit is hilarious and always makes me laugh. Episode 14 was weak, but 15 stepped it up again. Tiger and Bunny still going strong and I love the character development. Seeing heroes in adverts and billboards always makes me smile when they do cheesy stuff, I love it.
Nichijou is the only anime I've actually kept up with I have so many I didn't finish watching. Gotta catch on Hanasaku and finish up Ano Hi Mita as well.
I watched Usagi Drop and it seemed interesting, I have a feeling they are going full incest route though.
