I went to the BLU thread and searched for the following:
whisker exp
charged whisker exp
charged whisker burn

I got, for each, a huge amount of results, some dating back since before the cap was raised..and of the most relevant..none had the information I was looking for.

It's not always easy to just search for what you want. Sometimes you have to repeat the same question for the 50th time in hopes it doesn't get skipped over.

I just came back after a year being gone (quit just before WoE even came out) and coming back I heard about the potency of Charged Whisker. I don't even have BLU unlocked yet on my new account. I was just wondering if people exp burned with it or if it was even possible. Thanks for being a douche and jumping to conclusions, though.

The same people who mock people for not wanting to use a shitty search function to find info in the shitty RQT are the same people who when using an app on their iphone/smart phone, get pissed off if it takes more than 3 seconds to load. The RQT is shitty to read and I never use it for anything. Getting mad at people who think its a shitty system for sharing information is like getting mad at people who want a new better quality UI in ff14 or a better atma system in ff11, people want things to be handy and user friendly. I guess this is just not a next gen forum though!

Generally, I just figure shit out on my own by using my brain since ffxi is not really hard or complex, but when I was in a similar situation of returning to the game after being gone, I had a friend who could clue me in on most things I needed to know and caught me up relatively fast. The only useful threads I read on BG really are kirschys threads testing new stuff, or the threads that form for specific new content figuring stuff out. The RQT I stay away from like it has AIDS.

RQT threads are rubbish and serve as an excuse for not having a thread for everything, not a reason.

I'd support the existence of ONE subforum devoted to all 20 jobs for people to post job specific findings and questions. It's kinda similar to the current blu thread except there's no reason to be limited to one thread if the discussion is distinctly different. Also because it isn't 20 subforums, jobs that don't have questions don't need threads until a question or a finding arises.

Bear in mind most readers of bg are fairly advanced players.. I think if there are basic questions to be asked they don't belong here anyway because you know no one is gonna be nice about it and answer properly anyway.

Hmm, to clarify I am just pointing out that people are following the trend of supporting the shitty RQT thread because its "how its done here" or w/e, and there is a strong cult of personality surrounding some long time posters. I don't actually care to ever see any changes to the forums here and am not joining some crusade for it.

Exactly and every thread has like 50+ pages, many are like 2-3 years old. Who wants to look through old outdated information? Plus most of the time its like the same 3 people talking in the thread all responding to each other. This forum is a bunch of old worn out threads. This website is the only place where there could actually be some good information and discussion about jobs. All the other FFXI websites with forums are dead.

We have never been a forum that focuses on non-endgame specifics. The RQT thread is because people still want to ask some simple stuff that they can't find elsewhere. Go to KI or alla if you want job specific stuff.

Heh. So..here's the thing. I forgot that this forum is used for more advanced endgame players for one reason. I've been coming here since being a noob due to the negative stigma the other forums get for "bad information / idiot posters". I've been given much better information just noobing it up on BG than I would have ever gotten from the other forums (KI is the exception). I've even compared answers to the same question and found BG to be more knowledgable and informative. So with that stated I try to STAY here.

Meh I already know this isn't going to change, and I admitted defeat on page one. It's just funny that this thread is on page 4 already.
