Probably WSDMG+10%. Good for cleaving, beyond that I dunno.

For Trick Attack WSs, should I prioritize AGI or the WS mod?
New to THF, and trying to figure out whether or not I should prioritize AGI over DEX for TA + Evis set.

I very well may be doing it wrong on my mule, but I always just stack DEX on evis. Doesn't matter if its SA, TA, both, whatever.

Doing GoV, if my leeching mule has Casket Discovery Prowess but not my main, does he need to make a action on mobs for it to take effect?

Back to FFXI barely a month, and looking at hitting 90 on my first job.

I know I know, lolTHF damage, but apparently Aoelian Edge is the new big number WS? Looking for suggestions on a WS set for it, or at least, a direction to start in a WS set for it.

Not really the new big number WS in the traditional sense. What some use it for now is "cleaving" or brewing. Nins, plds, thfs and rdms (more?) can utilize it to aoe mobs down in order to farm chests faster. In general, you'll still be using Evis in abyssea on THF.

edit: if you do try cleaving with aoelian or brewing you'll want wind dmg attack and mab. Atma of Gales, Ultimate, ???. Sorry for incomplete answer, I can't remember what I used to brew shinryu awhile back

If you're talking about cumulative damage to multiple mobs, or just with a Primeval brew, yeah it can be good, given the right setup/gear/sj/meds.

If you aren't setting up for it specifically, or just killing singular mobs (NMs) you'll find Evisceration to be far better.

AE is an elemental WS so gear up for MAB, Elemental Wind Attack (Atma of Gales) and since your base damage on the dagger doesn't matter for the ws itself, get a TP bonus dagger. Sub RDM if you can get away with it for the bonus, particularly on brews.

I've been reading all this Ddex, Dmnd, D-etc being auto capped inside abyssea....

    My questions:

    1) Does this mean for crit hit ws (Raging Rush, unstacked evis, etc) we should focus more on str+attack than dex?

    2) What's the magic dex number that will allow u to cap crit inside abyssea? (Assuming one uses SS, RR, AoA atmas)

agi is essentially a 100% agi mod on the first hit of the ws pre af+1.
on evisc dex is a 30% mod for each hit of the ws.
I'm sure you can guesstimate the rest of the math depending on ws.

And yes whm+nin can but be sure to have ss+shadows up or /nin(on the whm) for when it spawns adds because I find it takes a bit to target them when they gun for the whm. It can be a dick but it's certainly killable.

Myrm is kind of a dick. It may be possible to do it that way, but there's a fairly good chance he'll randomly 1-shot your tank.

For synergy skilling up, if a synergy craft has a subcraft needed such as:

    Synergy (70+ )
    Skills:Bonecraft (98) ,Leathercraft (60)
    Yield: Alcide's Harness
    HQ 1: Alcide's harness +1
    Balance: 60 30
    1 x Dragon Talon
    2 x Buffalo Leather
    1 x Wyrm Horn

Do I actually need those skills to attempt it? I know someone said you can pick the highest recipe available to you, but I wasn't sure if that was if it was strictly for synergy only crafts or I can literally pick any craft regardless of the subcrafts needed.

Actually, I have no idea where those drop from. I'd assumed the bosses, but I don't think they've been reported.

And yeah, Myrm's adds are really easy to kill.

For synergy, you need the required skills in your party. They don't necessarily have to be on you, the synergist, but they have to be on someone in your party. All members of the party contributing skills to the synergy have to have synergy unlocked (have done the quest to unlock synergy).
