Contrary to Raen's post, I would keep Spiral and multitask that ring. An item that multi-tasks 3 types of rings most (STR for general spells; VIT for Quad/Delta/Thermal; INT for general nukes and Sanguine) is very helpful. As he mentioned, use the extra inventory spaces. I don't carry spell interruption gear until ready to cleave, so that saves me some slots. At some point, I need to review my gear and decide what I want to do since I've been piecing together gear that "works" for other sets like Lithe Boots for Benthic and CDC even though Alcide(SP?) boots+1 are better for CDC within Abyssea. A good strategy is to pick out a few major pieces for each set then see what can multi-task before deciding the rest. Nightfyre also has inventory issues.

So for the following jobs (PLD RDM DRG DNC SMN SCH MNK) is there anything of use from Trophies? I gave up on haste 4 legs (300 tries and squat) and got the new Fluffy Native American pants. Wasn't sure if there was anything else worth having.

Can do +5 fastcast pld body. can do evasion+nin tool expert pants for dnc(if you're cheap) can do +3 haste + att feet for mnk

Hat for SCH, body for SMN. I don't think any of the "pet" augments beat anything you can get on the empyrean set for SMN.

I used to use saber dance all the time when soloing @_@, but I only had 1 merit in it and 5/5 NFR.

I have inventory issues with all my jobs tbh.

As Raen and Yugl have said, prioritize. Small benefits to less used sets can potentially be done without or at least satcheled, and pieces that can be used in multiple sets with minimal sacrifices are invaluable. I keep niche sets/minor items satcheled for situations where I'm not using one or more of my main sets. Those sets are generally made with an eye towards ideal setups rather than compromising based on inventory, and I'll swap in as much as I can.

Yeah, idk what you're smoking. Saber Dance is an excellent solo tool, and I'd argue the most powerful justification for multiple merits into it is exactly for soloing. You can cancel it, Waltz, and get it back up right away. After they raised the cap to 85, I went around in Abyssea - La Theine and blew away pretty much everything without dropping Saber Dance. If you need to Waltz yourself constantly when fighting something with a 20% hit rate and shadows, you're doing something wrong.

Shiyo: I assumed soloing meant actual NMs, not something you'd be bloodtanking. Leon: I'd go with what Byrth says, like I said I never actually got around to doing any solo/duo as dnc so maybe you do only need to cure every 3 mins. I have a pet whm so I end up just doing everything as war+whm and only dnc for dynamis.

Minimum 5 days to rank up, cant speed that part up. Multiply 5 days by the the number of badges from start it takes to be high enough rank to buy rose strap.
