Relating to the seals conversation...

I'm curious as to why +1 items are actually more annoying/longer/harder to get than +2 items :/

I don't understand the logic behind making +1 seals actually harder and longer to get than the +2 items, I always have the +2 items ready to upgrade but it takes like 2-3 hours of going out of my way farming to get the stupid seals. Don't even get me started on bodies, those are pretty much impossible to finish in 1 sitting unless you're extremely lucky, yet the +2 items for them rain from the sky.

Maybe I'm completely insane, but like every mob drops +2 items, a lot drop them 100% WITHOUT a yellow, and up to 3 with yellow/TH(?) and you only need 6(9 for body) compared to 8/10.

Single biggest factor is loot pool size. For your seal NM's, there are always 4 different seals available, with multiples being ok/likely, where +2's only have 2 options, and you can guarantee that you'll always get at least 1 of what you want.

As far as why, I guess that in theory the NMs that drop +2 items are supposed to be harder than seal NMs. While in many cases this is true, it's often enough that farming the KI's are more of an annoyance than the actual fight.

The randomness of seal drops is terrible. (example: did gnawtooth gary for blm for a friend. in 5 kills we got him 8 blm, and didn't see a single pup or smn. totally random, and for once in our favor. We're now 0/6+ on getting a different friend her last rdm body seal from the tiger in uleg.)

All in all, I agree with you. I've had countless +2 sets before +1 seals. It's annoying, but I just deal with it.

I also think the increased drop rate has to do with the multiple jobs being on the item. Where as only a blm is going to want blm seals, whm orison, drg, lancer's etc., they might drop the same amount of +1 items as the +2 NMs drop +2, the problem is getting the ones that you need.

Just recently completed Dancer to 90 (yay.) Was wondering which daggers I should be looking to get, there are so many to choose from and so much maths!

As I said earlier, I'm using it mostly for soloing NMs and things... so besides the EVA+20 daggers, what else is good?

Is the OA2-4 times worth it? I don't think I'll have Saber Dance up much when soloing. Though ... dunno. Maybe twilight knife? Auric? OA2x? or wut. I'm so lost about it.

OA2-4 not really worth it, but OAT should be. Auric is not bad and rather easy to get depending if you have any other jobs (I soloed it on RDM, dunno how others fare). STR Kila is not that bad also.

Are you sure about this? I was under the impression that 2-4 is good if you need to heal and OAT is beaten by other options if you need pure damage or for solo so from OAT and 2-4 the second seems to be more relevant.

Well, that's true, I was just taking the amount of work needed to obtain them and how it might affect a sane person D; For his purposes it just seems a little bit too much, and I think going with Kilas +/or stuff like Twilight/Auric should be fine, but I guess that depends on him.

Since I'm done with it I don't mind sharing. Bostaunieux Oubliette worked very well for me getting remaining jobs to 30. What I did was take an alt on 90dnc and kill leeches in the bottom floor while having my low level with sneak up locked to the book in the top floor where there are haunts and dogs. Very few leeches are out of xp range there and 10-30 flew by (I'd say about 3 hours 10-30).

depends how many people you have i guess. We usually have no more than 6, and i would say yes you need either CS stun or PDefense. Thats with empy war sam mnk, Thf whmorsmn, rdm. If people have done it without stuns/pd, with about 6 people i would be impressed. His agas still hit hard and his tp moves still hit hard. If you have 12+ you might be ok without since you can kill him before he kills you.
