So I'm going to level my War to 90 from 75 when my friend comes back to the game and am having trouble finding gear for it. I managed to put togethor: http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/220700 but I'm not really sure how good this it, uncapped haste and such. Also I don't have the Twilight mail/helm yet and don't know other options for that (No Zelus, only +2 I can get is the feet). Also Gaxes, is there any options other than Widowmaker and Ukon? I really kind of doubt I can get a Widowmaker. No goading/eponas either :/.

BG Noob question: Leveling my Ranger, apparently solo entirely outside Aby until I hit 75 (as I don't feel like just throwing my FF wallet at the AH hitting for 0). I'm good on the computer, but new to navigating your forums and finding anything so far is a bit like finding a specific grain of sand in Death Valley. Anyone know a good list of locations for ranger solo 40-75? assuming mediocre gear and using just my bow, not x-bow since I have that capped for awhile from leveling it on thief. Most lists I find terminate at 40... unfortunately, ranger does in fact have levels beyond 40, which I would like to achieve.

Wear Turban, and take off Blitz Ring. Also try to get AF3+1/2 body or Rose Strap, since you don't have a 6hit.

Wear Turban, and take off Blitz Ring. Also try to get AF3+1/2 body or Rose Strap, since you don't have a 6hit.

No real access to Rose Strap, but the Turban and +1 body idea sounds good. Do I need to use the STP ring for a 6 hit or would I use a Pyrosoul or something simiilar.

Dusk Feet+1 work instead of Ryuga Sune-ate/Homam feet if you're in Abyssea and don't need the ACC.

Hoard Ring would also give you a 6hit if you don't have +1/2 body, Goading Belt + Blitz Ring would also 6hit you and cap you at 26%

You'd need 10 StoreTP in gear with /SAM to get a 6-hit with Widowmaker, so 4 StoreTP since you're already using Rajas/Brutal. Without Rose strap, Ravagers lorica +1 will get you there without needing a Hoard ring. Also, Ravager's cuisses +2 shouldn't be too hard to get. Balance stones drop from Sobek and Cirein-Croin. Find someone doing them for Empyreans and ask if you can leech the Balance stones in exchange for help/holding popsets.

I'm gearing up my PLD for VW and in anticipation of the job becoming useful after 95 Patch. What sets do I need build? MDB/MDT obviously, Do I need a Shield set? Spell Interruption perhaps? PDT? Enmity? Cure cheat? Haste? Hybrids of any of the above? Which are the most important?

Upgrade to item set above as it comes, if you go majority perle route, go full perle for set bonus until you can start swapping stuff out. At 75, even with v.belt and +1 dusk gloves/feet a WAR was only reaching 24% haste, so I wouldn't worry about that too much until you're able to wear AF3. AF3 Feet/Legs with swift/walahra put you at 23% and at that point you're a bullwhip and some +2 away from capping haste.

Aegis and Ochain owners, For voidwatch do you still use /nin? or do you go /war /rdm ect. Havent played pld for anything serious until i get almace. And was wondering how hard stuff hits even with Aegis/Ochain.

I would focus on a 25%ish MDT build, a PDT build, an oshi enmity build, cure cheat, spell interruption, shield, and haste. Some of those builds are hybrids, shield/spellint/haste for ichi, haste/fast cast for ni, pdt/shield for all timers down, etc.

Your linkshell determines how much of that is blinking and how much of it is ring-ish swaps. Tell them to get blinkmenot, lern2<stal> or make specific macros just for you.

What is the current "best" monster for collecting zeni points? Keep hearing about Nauls in Tahrongi that give around 100 but is there any NQ mobs higher than that?

You are much better off Burning it with Abyssea, then skilling with cheapest arrows you can buy. You will spend far more solo lvling and get burnt out that way. Also if you dont pay for FC burn the cruor you earn can be used for gil if you need. Also the stats and atmas you get in Aby will help balance out some skill lose, not all but some. Also to be honest in most pick up groups for 75+ few are geared well anyway so sub par dmg isnt something people complain alot about.

I'm trying to log in today after not having logged in for about 3 weeks and having some issue staying logged in. In the 3 week period where I hadn't logged in at all, I did get a new router. After 1-2 minutes logged in, I r0 and then get the error FFXI-4001 connection lost, blah blah. I have checked my firewall to make sure pol.exe was allowed incoming and outgoing, I have set up port forwarding through my router, and also set windows essentials to exclude pol.exe from real-time protection. I'm at wits end, if anyone has any suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong or anything else to try I'd greatly appreciate it.

Looking for duo strats for the Nanaa Mihgo MKD fights, jobs are WAR WHM RDM PLD BRD BLU NIN DNC for me, WAR MNK WHM BLM THF RNG SAM NIN DRG BLU for my friend. Was thinking just BLU+BLU, sleep adds and zerg Nanaa, but never done the fight before so not sure how it would work.
