Is there a Widowmaker equivalent for SAM (anything that doesn't involves Moogles)?

In walk of echoes, does the 1st place chest have more or better items than the 5th? I've gotten 1st a couple times with 5 items and 5th with only 2 but it could just be coincidence.
Also, what are the best jobs for scoring in there. I can't seem to break 10k with nin/dnc and that is usually only good enough for 3rd-5th. And that's if I don't die because mages are casting bar spells instead of healing. Have brd/cor/nin/rng/mnk/pup if that helps.
edi: oh and a hella gimp rdm.
I have absolutely zero sea experience, just a heads up.
So I'm looking into JoH and the only real catch it seems is Temperance. Is this as much of a pain as it seems, having to go upstairs and downstairs repeatedly for a PH chance? Also, anybody experienced with this able to give me a rough estimate of what the chance is it's the PH? Like 5%, 15%, or 30%?
Idk chest seemed to be random to me but I generally got first.
What is best can largely depend on which one you are doing and how you are fighting. Ie is there downtime how much other DD is there will your DDs get 2hr brd songs on boss etc. I've managed to net first fairly often as blu and rdm before. Actually beat out 2hring melees that got full 6 2hrd songs on boss lol. Before they gimped the auto regain weapon pup did amazing.
Say I wanted to write a script to continuously shoot arrows at x target until I either run out of arrows, or the target dies to level up my abysmal archery skill...how do I shot web?
Lol doh my questions got paged and no one saw
in my experience, your rank has no effect on the quality or quantity of pouches, BUT the higher you rank, the more items you get in your chest. i've gotten double pouches in a 4th place chest while the 1st person was grumbling about having to npc that many flocon-de-mur.
Even with 5/5 Assimilation it still doesn't feel like enough... for procing Acrid Stream/Empty Thrash are usually the first to go for me, after that GR or even BT if I need more points depending on day. Sound Blast/Cursed Sphere for MAB typically get dropped too.
Best thing to do though is wait for deiscernment and if it's blu spell > switch spells > switch back after proc to normal setup.

Anyone know where the testing that showed Atma Affinity adds to Magian Affinity and multiples with Elemental Staff bonus is?
Also, see anything wrong with this?: https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Magic_Affinity
Is it still possible to get the novennial ring?
If you mean for a source to cite no. But it's definitely correct I could probably pull up some screenshots of testing I did on it.
Info seems right however maybe not a big issue but for the sake of completionism the lvl 90 staffs also have affinity -spellcasting time and affinity -bp delay
So has there been much testing on rudra's storm. I've tried doing searches on here but yeah . Specifically is ffxiclopedias ftps correct for 100 and 300% and what is 200%.
And um saw above that trial tp bonus work offhand does that mean the +ws dmg ones do too? If so wouldn't that potential be a better offhand than kamome?
And would martial weapons mainhand stack with offhand tp bonus weapon?
Oh and since they are so weird would trial tp bonus/ws dmg melee weapons melee weapon effect ranged ws or vice versa?
How much damage reduction is shadow ring/mantle equal to if they're both only 5-10% proc chance and you have to literally fulltime them to get any use?(or idle I guess). Are they useful for any jobs?
No confirmation on adds to affinity, but http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/103...=1#post4572243 shows it multiplies with it.
Is it confirmed that you don't have to kill the TEs in neo-dynamis to get AF to drop? If not, does killing them increase the drop rate?
Shadow Ring is 1/8 proc rate... but MDT is very easy to cap these days, so additional damage reduction can come in the form of MDB or Annul/Absorb items. Shadow Ring is def worth using in an magic reduction set.
Shadow Mantle is 1/16 proc rate... It's not as useful as Shadow Ring because of the lower proc rate, and PDT is still fairly hard to cap while keeping back open. There's also reducing damage on a single hit vs overall damage taken. I personally use it for jobs like MNK which don't have access to Umbra/Metallon.
