ok, is it just me or is it annoying that when I "search" here for a specific piece of information that it takes me to page 1 of a thread instead of to the 1st mention of a search term? Seriously, I generally have better luck using a search engine that links me back to a post here than simply being linked to page 1 of a thread when the 1st mention is on page 97 and the answer I'm looking for doesn't appear until page 126. Note that I'm not asking the mods or anything to comb and categorize every post--if I wanted you all to get migraines I'd simply put a looped Yoko Ono recording in my auto-sig--but the search function just seems a bit unfriendly. Not sure what your software allows.

"Ice" is too short a term, need at least 4 letters for the BG search. "Varuna" worked.

I just searched the staff thread and couldnt get any hits on 'ice'. I think it is because 'ice' is too short a word to be searched with; I can get hits on the 7 other elements in that thread.

A search of the entire XI Advanced section for 'ice' gives no results and I think there is at least one post in this section with the word 'ice'.

Yesterday in Abyssea, I had 4 stones on me and 15 minutes left on the clock. I went to go turn in more stones, but it only gave me the option to add one. I added it, and I only got 16 minutes from it instead of +39. Additionally, upon talking to the NPC, I was no longer able to add more time.

Is this a side effect of letting my time drop too low, or some weird bug?

That's how it works, you can only add 120 minutes worth of time. If you entered at 117 minutes, you can only add 3 minutes, even if you wait till you are down to 10 mins left.

I think it's because you cannot spend stones for more than 120 minutes of total time. So say you enter with no time, spend 1 stone for 30 minutes, get 70 in times chests, if you spend another stone it would only be worth 20 (30+70+20=120). Or say you enter, spend 0 stones, get 120 mins in time chests, you won't get any time for spending stones.

True. I also tried doing a search for titles within the spellcast thread (Typed out BLU XML Complete) and my post didn't come up. Search is wonky!

As it stands, BG search would be better if it took your query and put it into google with "site:www.bluegartr.com" after it.

What's the difference between fanatics powder/drink/tonic? It seems like only the powder works for melee hits, while the other 2 don't.

I'm pretty sure that Drink and Powder work for all TP moves and melee hits, Tonic is 50% PDT.

I'm pretty sure that Drink and Powder work for all TP moves and melee hits, Tonic is 50% PDT.

I would wager that Tonic counts toward Gear Cap too. Whenever I use it and try to run for my life with my standing set on, it doesn't seem to do anything at all (my set is very close to cap on most of my jobs)
