You mean Kindred Crests? Abyssea. Mobs have to be a specific level or higher to drop them, I think it's 70.

No, the first quest is Kindred's Seals.

KIndred seals you could go a huge number of places, lesser colibri come to mind as squishy targets though

As Pandora said, I need the Seals. I CAN solo stuff it just takes 10 minutes a mob. Any ideas?

What are some neck and feet options for PLD weaponskills? I lack CDC for the immediate future, so I'm basically looking at Vorpal/Swift Blade. For lack of anything obvious, at the moment I just use Fortitude torque and Creed sabatons +2.

Heca feet and appropriate gorget (soil in this case since it covers both) for your WS is a good start.

I started a new char recently, and just farmed the 6 items for AU access. Wondering whether there are still people partying in AU or did it just die, like campaign? Getting AN from campaign, I can do solo, but ISP? Not looking forward to making a party in dead zones, just to get some ISP.

Or isn't that a problem? Do people still use staging points/AU for anything other than quests/nyzul?

On this server nobody really whitegates shit unless they are shouting for nyzul isle or have a salvage static.
I'd say that 90% of the game is in abyssea and 90% of the people can live without doing the other 10% of the content.

Find a beastmaster mob, pull the pet, don't link the master. They have significantly less hp than normal mobs.

Yes, RDM is very well set up for Aeolian Edging mandies.

Is capping PDT required? just saw how expensive that stuff can be. The actual killing should be easy enough
I've never cleaved anything before, what mobs should I use to build lights on / actually ws

I don't think a really solid PDT build is required if you have good enhancing skill, but it wouldn't hurt. As for the lights, Aemora summed it up nicely here. Tahrongi is basically a bag of dicks to build light in.

I'd start out with Gales/Ultimate/Minikin and to build azure on mandies while you keep an eye out for Bhumi for some quick Amber. I think a Clionid also spawns in bats, so you might want to check for that on your way to mandies.

As far as pearl, if you're doing it solo then DoT kills will give pearl light and VNMs are a good target for that. Just find a VNM, Bio II/III it, nuke it low, Poison II, Bind, find your next VNM. My experience is that the Tier 2 VNM doesn't give dramatically more pearl lights, so he's probably not worth the extra time it would take to kill.

After you build Pearl and Azure, you should build some time back up by AEing mandies and still keep an eye out for Bhumi. When you're comfortable with your amount of time (I always went for ~100 min), go build the rest of your amber on Sandworms. Unless you're lucky, I wouldn't expect you to cap the lights you want in less than an hour, and if you're unlucky or it's the first time, it may take up to 2 hours to cap your lights solo.

Now, that's the hard part, right? Because you are finally at the point where it's worth Aeolian Edging, but you've spent at least an hour and can only hold one pop set. This is where legions of friends come in and hold popsets for you. If you don't have legions of friends to hold pops for you, you're better off going a different job and soloing KI NMs.
