At what level can you enter Abyssea?
I will have to figure out how that place works before I get to whatever level it is.
Do people usually go in at 30 or wait until they are a bit higher?
Bit of a tech question because I don't know where else to put it:
Last night my roommate was having trouble logging into Abyssea - La Theine. Their game would get stuck at the downloading data screen and basically locked him out of our shell's event all night. This morning a file check found six errors and now everything is kosher.
Problem is, now MY computer is refusing to load the same exact zone with the same exact problem. File check got nothing, flushing DNS didn't do anything and I'm not sure what's going on. Again, everyone else is able to be in fine and it shouldn't be a congestion problem unless La Theine can't handle more than sixty people.
Anyone got any ideas? Not looking forward to needing a potential reinstall but I can't think of anything else.
What is the most efficient way to farm cruor and what would be the most cruor/h with ideal setup/strat ?
Does anyone know the sub craft levels of cursed hauberk? Trying to figure out if it's T1'able with all MH items and 60 capped subs.
If you have any idea which DAT files are causing you problems (and it sounds like the file for A - La Theine could be responsible), I would recommend re-naming them (e.g., "Old 1.DAT") and then running a File Check. This will force FFXI to download replacements, since it won't be able to find the originals.
With the above in mind, so I don't wanna lose custom DATs I have set, what are all the files associated with Port Bastok? Running on a hunch that if the 3001 issues are tied to corrupted files, getting clean versions for whatever zones are locking people up could be a start.
That certainly may be the case, and as stated previously, I could have simply been on a ridiculous streak of bad luck, faulty level assumptions notwithstanding.
That being said, they can spawn too weak, and since I am unaware of the probability distribution of the level range at which the manta spawn, it would more than likely be beneficial to be 85+ (or simply as high as possible) so that you can kill faster etc, contrary to what I posted earlier.
However, if someone were to level sync down to 73 just for example, then every single spawn would check EP and they would then only need to kill during weather.
What's the lowest number of people required for farming pops for and killing the dynamis zone bosses?
I have war, mnk, and nin on my mule. Which has the most red procs? I do NOT have pitchfork or event GKT if that calculates into play.
WAR has the most, with NIN trailing behind in second.
If you have weapon merits to spare, nin can tie war.
WAR/NIN + GKat (8/8 Merits + torque) gets 11/13, so 10/13 for you.
NIN/WAR + Pole + (7/8 Staff + Hachi) gets 11/13, so potential 10/13 for you.
Vote goes to nin for easier time landing kurayami + univ tools for yellow when needed.
On the first or second day post-update, myself and two friends went into Dyna-Xarc with thf, war, smn, and two whm mules just to play about and see how much it had changed. We ended up with what turned out to be a Dynamis Lord pop item, and had np obtaining it.
As for killing, did the dyna-windy boss a few week ago with about 8 people iirc, and it was very easy indeed; I'd imagine a prepared party could do it. Other zones? I don't know.
I'm switching over to PC from 360 for the time being and need a reliable torrent for WOTG and Abyssea.
I also am trying to figure out a way to configure my 360 controller for the PC or buy a good game pad. Any suggestions?
