Top set. Losing the 1% potency from serpentes -> augur's is best, you gain 7 mnd and 5 skill on hands, plus 6-10 mnd on feet depending on what you have available there.

I'm looking to merit my SMN's Tier 1 and I've gathered that 5/5 Magic Attack is basically a given but am at a loss for picking between Physical Accuracy or Physical Attack for my second 5/5. I've heard different arguments saying one or the other is worthless (Acc. worthless because having capped skill means you don't generally have Acc. issues to begin with, and Att. being worthless because there were "tests"* showing that beyond the Summoner's Pigaches+Sacrifice Torque, additional Att.+ doesn't make a parse-able difference.) Any input from any baller SMN's out there and what they chose/why?
*Edit: If this has indeed been tested, I haven't seen it. Nobody provided links, just referenced supposed results.
So what do you need nowadays to kill Proto-Ultima, assuming access to majority of the jobs. Doing an atma run soon but noones fought it after the 76+ cap so no idea how easy it is now.
Worth it to 5hit Widowmaker?
Currently using Twilight/Triplus (THF) and Twilight/Auric (DNC). I was trying for +6% daggers for RNG and randomly got one with DMG:+7/Crit+6%.
Would it be fine to use that for both jobs until I finish my STR Kila/Get Phurba for DNC? Are there any other choices etc Kila +2 should be finished soon, but wanted to see if this was a fine option until then
Edit: probably should have put this in What's Better oops
Hello,
I have absolutely no experience with Adamantoise and I plan to do the KS99 fight for my last BB item.
What would be a good setup for 3-4 man ? And strat ?
Thx in advance.
Curious as to the spell cursna in relation to doom. Does healing magic skill really help remove it, and is there some testing about ?
Also: Wouldn't it be more beneficial to cast cursna in haste rather than skill ?
As far as Whm main is concerned, you can keep Haste on yourself full-time. Add the bonus given naturally by the Divine Benison trait, especially with Orison Pantaloons +1/2 and you're almost at the reduction cap for status ailment spells (45%). Light arts from /SCH or one piece of Haste gear will cover the remainder.
If doom can become an issue I' d recommend bringing Holy waters and spamming them, they aren't that expensive yet I can't remember the last time I saw someone else do it.
I don't know if cursna is affected by skill in the manner stated, suggesting there are some kind of tiers involved.
I was merely answering the fact that you should rarely, if ever, require casting -na spells in Haste gear since you can already cap the recast reduction easily. Whether or not casting in skill gear is worthwhile, I can't comment on since I don't have the time to test it.
Edit:
I will get around to testing this, but it won't be anytime soon, or if someone else will be fighting Xibalba and can spare a sacrificial lamb to test it on
Would it be better to just go for Taurine Cesti (holdover to Verethragna) or would Taipan+2 (str/atk) be better/about the same? Is there a better option for a holdover?
Edit: This would be for MNK... ;x
taurine and tapian are too close to even justify making a tapian if you're going for vere. Dont waste time on it, just go balls out for Vere.
Question of my own: Are Enms still 75 cap? Like Bionic bug/Hagun enm for example? Dont remember reading if they changed those or not.
Does anyone know the location of the 8 Arch Dynamis Lord in the DATs?
Take the code, put it into a text document. Name the text document .xml and apply it using using Pebble's POLUtils' NPC Renamer. I recommend keeping the NPC renamer around. It's dead useful.Code:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ffxi-npc-name-changeset> <name-change id="17330191" old="Arch Dynamis Lord" new="Arch Dynamis Lord1" /> <name-change id="17330192" old="Arch Dynamis Lord" new="Arch Dynamis Lord2" /> <name-change id="17330193" old="Arch Dynamis Lord" new="Arch Dynamis Lord3" /> <name-change id="17330194" old="Arch Dynamis Lord" new="Arch Dynamis Lord4" /> <name-change id="17330195" old="Arch Dynamis Lord" new="Arch Dynamis Lord5" /> <name-change id="17330196" old="Arch Dynamis Lord" new="Arch Dynamis Lord6" /> <name-change id="17330197" old="Arch Dynamis Lord" new="Arch Dynamis Lord7" /> <name-change id="17330198" old="Arch Dynamis Lord" new="Arch Dynamis Lord8" /> </ffxi-npc-name-changeset>
Do Rangers still do holy bolt builds? Are there specific atmas that would make it worthwhile?
