Recently I found out info about EA and scherzo stacking for 73%+ reduction and I started to questioning my decision about making an Aegis. Wouldn't those buffs practically cover 95% situation when Aegis would be better then Ochain or DD tank?
Assuming 1800 HP every strong attack doing about 500 damage and everything that is magic below 1200 you can switch into MDT set and reduce it to about 850-900.
Wouldn't Spharai or Apoc benefit me more in this case?
Maybe I am missing something?
About to start camping Lumbering Lambert for katana trial. Do I only need to camp the East Ram?
What is the mob ID for Megalobugards PH?
Empyrean Aftermath level is just more duration right?
Thinking of getting Maat's Cap have 2 questions.
1 If i wanted to fight maat on a 90 job i leeched and might have poor skills or gear on will maat be skilled as lv90? Want to find out if he is too weak or what?
2 Is it worth having still. Would use it for blade hi and maybe other WS or mage set?... just wondering.
Any detailed info would be wonderful. thank you.
Any reason why this NPC: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Peshi_Yohnts_%28A%29
won't give me this quest: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Weapons,_Not_Worries
I tried to narrow down the ID for Mega's PH when I was camping it. Ultimately, it seemed he had multiple PH ID's. Initially I ran through the suggested /rng method on wiki and narrowed it down to 4 or 5 different IDs. Ultimately, this worked out great, as I was able to get the kills finished with no more than about 15 minutes into each spawns window. Never killed more than 1 Bugard, based on the ID's. I would list them if I could remember, but it's been a while. I would just say use the same method unless someone knows better (not unlikely) to narrow down the 4 or 5 IDs and run with that.
Edit: To your LL question: yes, you only need to camp the East Ram.
Byrth got the PH for megalobugard and posted POLUtilis changes within a mob spawn thread.
All sorts of things can proc. Including JA like Enmity Douse on BLM (I've personally done that). I've seen enfeebles/blue magic/ninjitsu/nukes all proc including Stun/Sleep/Break. DNC is amazing in there for the light armoured mobs because they have so many JA. I've seen a lot of voke proc's also.
DNC buddy proc'd with Viper Bite/Evisceration/Shark Bite when we went the other day.As for WS, is it any WS? So far I’ve only been able to proc with the 71 quest-able WSNM ones (Decimation, Impulse Drive, Blade: Ku). I thought I saw someone proc with Blade: Jin before but not 100% sure. I personally have NOT been able to proc with B: Jin/Yu, Rampage or Bora Axe. Onslaught either but the axe is from the Abyssea NM which I’m not sure has any relevance. Tried those a number of times with no luck.
Ni do work. Other peeps have said the following workAnd for the mages, can spamming dia proc? I could have sworn I’ve seen sleeps and silences proc as well as IV/V spells. I have proc’d a with Hyoton: San as well, but not with Ichi/Ni… will any spell work?

BLM and DNC and go for mage/light armoured mobs. Make sure you have a decent enfeebling build for silence for the BLM but that's what I'd do. Strictly for currency though, without a THF you'll see some but not much relic. Saying that BST tear things up in there and if you're experienced with procing the kills might be faster. For currency though you can just spam kill the EP mobs and then it doesn't really matterLastly, trying to find the best solo and duo combinations for my buddy and I farming currency.
I’ve got Bst/Pup/Smn/Nin/Whm/Blm
He’s got Bst/Pup/War/Mnk/Dnc
I found for procing that RDM+ DNC was pretty good as long as you have a decent nuking build on RDM. You may be better off sticking with BST+BST. Not sure how PUP is, they might be surprisingly good in there.
How "good" of a WS is Rudras Storm actually?
Literally anything can proc in dyna as long as it matches the mob's job's proc (ja/spell/ws theres a list of which jobs are which procs in the dyna thread). If you're keeping a list like above I'd advise you not to waste your time. Just have mages spam dia on mages (or sleep them and spam threns or something's landable and non-damaging until proc.) The rest is obvious.
I have been after the refresh hairpin for awhile and have been doing 4-5 hour farming sessions everyday for the last week or so, normally I would cap amber/pearl/azure and go cleave tonberries.
Something I noticed yesterday was as soon as I entered and had <50 amber lights I got a chest with double hairpins but unfortunately no refresh augment, does amber have to be near/capped for the refresh augment to be a possibility?
I feel capping pearl at leaving amber around 100 might be a better way of farming if it is possible.
