Also I don't have windower on this laptop. If you find that thread, is that windower as well or just update? If not, wheres the most recent windower thread as well?

Where is the version info for POL stored?

Fun fact: If you have the steam version of the game, doing "Verify game cache", will reset POL back to the freshly installed state, but it will think it is new during a version update. I can log in without my security token

edit: Nevermind, deleted version.dat, forced a file check and it's now updating properly, I hope.

edit 2: Nope, crashes now. Looks like I'll probably have to reinstall from scratch.

It's going to depend on your build and whether you could use the Store TP present on Unkai Nodowa to swap other slots for better improvements.

If not Unkai, then probably Ganesha's Mala or Agasaya's Collar.

I'm not quite sure how you figure. 550 Defense would mean that, with Dia II, you'd still need 1100 attack to cap cRatio with a two handed weapon. You're not anywhere near this with just Minuet V.

Ukon war would be sitting at just over 1000 attack. Call box step 7% def down, it'll start at 5, but end higher than 7. 1000/454 = 2.2 and 547 * 0.83 = 454.

Does anyone know of any programs that allow you to see where VNM's are? ever since ASE and APRadar stopped working, popping them became the most annoying thing in the world

According to what I've read, it will be impossible to return to the old system. SE changed their spawn to server side (?) and the only way to retrieve their position is by resting. APRadar created a mild fix that will allow you to see the mob when you rest, but you need to rest in order to maintain an updated position. In other words, if the mob moves after you rest, you won't see the mob move.

Last thing installed: latest update for FFXIV

Now, my problem is that my main toon is causing FFXI to crash to desktop (Only pol.exe, NOT Windows) at a certain spot around the pools in Rabao and in East Altepa around the OP there. I attempted to install the latest nVidia drivers, but that program ALSO crashed right at about 99%. While I *can* play without going to Rabao, I don't want to have to play the game permanently avoiding certain areas of the game... Any help at all would be lovely. Thanks!

I file checked both POL and FFXI. No errors found in either scan. The error message that pops up reads: "PlayOnline Viewer has stopped working. A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program." Below it are two choices: Top Choice- Close the program. Bottom Choice- Debug the program. I've then got to Alt-Tab before I can click on either, as I play fullscreen.

Choosing "Debug" brings up "Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger". Then after having to forcably close pol.exe from the Task Manager, a dialog box pops up "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in pol.exe [5492] (Note: this number never changes!) The Just-In-TIme Debugger was launched without the necessary security permissions. To debug this process, the Just-In-Time debugger must be run as an Admin. Would you like to? [Y/N]"

This leads to another box: "An unhandled win32 exception occurred in pol.exe [5492]. Just-In-Time debugging this exception failed with the following error: The process ID is invalid. [OK]"

Update on this: I tried updating my nVidia drivers and just as it reached 99%, it stops working and the Debug/close error box appears again.

Is there a set where <feet>$idlefeet</feet> is used? That should set the variable fine, but you need to be able to use it. Post the whole .xml to pastebin and reply w/ link.

Yes to 1, for 2 all jobs DT and MDT gear mostly, and I believe MKD hat; I haven't checked for any newer items.
