what gear is essential for drg soloing? I know tht the wyrm armet and lancers torque are good for increasing healing breath but what other gear will help out?

Ethereal earring is pretty ideal for soloing. You will never run out of mp with that aslong as your not acually casting cures yourself and let your dragon do it. You will also need drachen armet for pre cast then switch to wyrm armet post cast. Twilight body is also pretty decent for the refresh. Af+1 legs are also pretty decent as it adds a lot more hp to your cures. Just stack hp gear precast, then wyvern hp gear post cast. and you will be fine.

for dnc AF3+2, does the force crit on striking flourish need to have the piece on during the WS or just for the ability? checking out some rudra sets, i found that even dnc's have loki's listed. which dosent make any sense to me.

Has to be on for the WS. I don't know why they list Loki's.

3. Good ‘camps’ to use when all T.E.s are dead.

I just did bastok a few nights ago, and found the chocobo stables to be a great camp. Many ja/spell proc mobs, a NM that pops in the fenced in area in the stables (smn, easy proc), and if you kill fast enough, can pull the NM from behind the AH (drk, so shitty proc, but better than no NM, I guess).

Alchemy guild TE is the only semi-dificult one, but sleepga the 2 quads that are there and you'll be fine.

I did mine on SMN pets in Saruta_S near giddeus. there's 3 or 4 there.

Pixies would be easier if you have a group.

Tried searching this question, but apparently my ability to choose search terms sucks, as I got everything NOT having to do with what I wanted.

For Glavoid, would an -MDT build, or an earth resist build work better?

I currently have -25% MDT, and I see that in gear only I am able to get up to 150 earth resist. I am not familiar enough with FFXI math to understand which would give me better benefits.

This question applies to both Stonega 4, and to disgorge.

Also, this is as thief, if it matters.

For mobs that only use one element, resist set is the way to go (your 150+barstonra+shell should be more than enough to keep magic damage low).

Hence why we used firekits for years on Tia/Cerb etc

This is true, but it doesn't work very well against Glavoid's Disgorge. I've never heard of it being resisted, only Annulled.

one of my mules has 7m cruor, WHM BLM RDM lolSMN, SAM at 88...what would be best to brew alfard? (inb4 "why brew it"...because im lazy, I have cruor and 3boxing the damn thing 40 times is being a bore). Most likely possibilities being Cataclysm, Sanguine Blade (nvm, sword skill not 300+), Flash Nova, or even Hexa Strike because o its magic resistances, but I'm just not sure.

This is true, but it doesn't work very well against Glavoid's Disgorge. I've never heard of it being resisted, only Annulled.

Disgorge is reduced by PDT, so I doubt you can resist it.
