I've been doing some looking around and I'm getting a lot of conflicting strategies with regard to farming AF3 feet. My NIN friend and I (I'm a BLU) have been hitting up Vunkerl trying different strategies for light building and we are just having shit luck. We keep timing out before getting anything of worth, and generally just get one pair of useless (to us) feet, if that.

Any suggestions for a duo? Targets, appropriate light counts, etc?

How much is the pet regen on the AMK hat? Would it be worth choosing as a second option over pet haste for a BST Anwig Salade? First augument being pdt.

I haven't nailed down a numerical value for a great rate on feet. I'd say just cap amber and go for volume of chests (128+ pearl, 128 azure, 256 amber for best ratio of blue:gold)

What are you doing exactly to time out as blu? You should be able to build time to infinity AoE killing with charged whisker. I don't have blu myself but plenty of people on here give specifics of how to if you don't know. Pick anything from the list that doesnt give azure (ie: gargoyle) so it stays at 128.

I'm still a fairly new 90 BLU, so my AoEing isn't perfect yet. I'm hoping as I build my Whisker set further I'll get better results from it. So that's one of the main reasons we time out. That or maybe we just have shit luck.

Even with a gimp Whisker set, you can still do a good amount of damage. The best advice that was given to me was changing my atmas to start using the right ones. That alone bumped my damage up significantly even with pisspoor gear, and now that my gear has gotten better Whisker does/almost oneshots most mobs. Really even if your Whisker set is subpar Flower, Whisker, Actnic Burst, Pulse, WoR , Flower, repeat should kill everything before you start repeating spells.

After you have Amber at 256, Azure at 128, go send your duo partner out to start building pearl while you start AoEing. Amber should cap in 2 mobs, Azure to 128 in 1. As long as your partner has a decent kill speed you should start seeing chests within 10~15min easy.

This is true in Misareaux, not so sure about amber from Fulmotondro/Tejas.

Honestly, you'd have to have a pretty piss-awful set to take more than Whisker > CA+Flux Whirl to kill anything that doesn't resist whisker in general, or you're fighting mobs that are leveled up. Fully deleveled mobs, I usually do 52-57% of their HP (dependant on mob/area/etc) on a 1/2 resist, which would imply 104-114% of their HP unresisted, with imperfect gear. Add in the 1100-1500 from Whirl, and even an AH-only BLU should be able to cleave with proper atmas.

Just always make sure to debuff mobs and buff yourself. My personal cycle is Pull > Flower > Sound Blast > Enervation > Memento Mori (if I don't have ascetic's active) > CA, BA, Efflux > Whisker > Whirl > Flower (if multiple) or QC (if single) and pick of any stragglers

Ah, the fact that they didn't proc on shots suggested to me that they probably wouldn't proc on WS. Thank you for confirming this suspicion.

Noticed that I failed to mention it, but Lion | Blinding Horn | Ultimate is what you should be using for a Whisker atma set up.

Eh, I find capped amber to be terrible for farming feet. In exp/cruor parties we get 100 amber, get a couple feet there, and then a few minutes later it's capped and it's KI galore.

has anyone done any testing with the twilight knife and haste samba? seems like people posting on the wiki are confused too. Does both get proc'd but you just see 1 animation or are the procs overwriting each other?

The only thing that's really not AH-buyable for a reasonable price that you "need" for whiskering is BLU Emp +1/2 feet, and to a lesser extent, Emp hands and Moldy/Hecate's/Novio. You could throw the rest of a fairly decent set together for under 200k, I'm sure. As long as you have the proper atmas, you should be able to easily kill stuff with Whisker > Whirl.
