friend got dc'd with POL-5312 and keeps getting that error message trying to log on.


-Doesn't have SE account ID or token and never signed up for one
- password is correct
- caps lock not on
- dvorak keyboard was disabled (in case you think he typed it wrong because of the shitty accidentally shortcutting to dvorak keyboard mode on laptops)

anyone else been hit by this? short of calling SE, any known solutions? Tried google, google fails.

What is the best place to do trial 823 (200 slimes, 150+ thunder killshot)? Everything mentioned on the wiki looks fucking terrible.

Den of Rancor, there's a shitton of slimes there, should be easy prey. Just go towards Hakutaku's spawn, you can't miss them. There's at least 5 in that first tunnel, more in the hallway on the other side of the hecteyes.

Long back, someone posted a list of priorities for new players in Abyssea. Does anyone remember the gist of it? I'm taking up a THF mule for TH purposes, and need to get him started...

Current plan is to max out azure in an Abyssea zone and build up enough cruor and time to buy/farm the three celerity abyssites. Atma isn't a huge priority - since this character is mostly going to tag empyrean mobs for treasure hunter - at least for now.

Yeah, I don't think it's purely a router thing, since it doesn't make sense for things to have been working just fine for me prior to the update, then suddenly people were having issues in various zones after. On some level, you need to just wait it out, if you haven't already. Plan B would be to ask a friend or log on from a totally different connection if that's an option. Comcast your ISP, by chance?

Yea I have comcast, is that what most people with the problem are using? That's really weird, I wonder why I've been fine up until yesterday. Thanks for the info, at least I know it's not just some problem unique to me.

Something along the lines of:

1. start building up stones asap
2. once you have at least 2 stones, join up a party to build up cruor and max out your time to 120min (or you can do this with a small group i suppose)
3. buy the -time abyssite, then solo the tonberries in konschtat, then quest the one in vunkerl (spam the nm pops one to save time)
4. leech an easy boss win like misareaux for 1st lunar so you can start gathering atmas
5. buy the one for 100k, then buy the useful abyssites (furtherance, merit, etc)

Then from there just go as normal? Get the atmas you need (razed ruins, gnarled horn, etc), quest/nm useful abyssites, and so on.

doing the NM pop trade quest took me ~4 minutes to get enough fame from nothing just using the cheapest items on the AH (about 50-80k cost if i remember correctly)

Is there a decent way to cleave mobs as a RDM? I'm trying to farm augmented stuffs in Abyssea and I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to AoE farm mobs or if I have to bite the bullet and kill stuff one at a time...

True, this is a good alternative (and the one I did myself), but this was more aimed at a new person who doesn't have much abyssea time, and is trying to get these abyssites as fast as possible. Probably should have listed it anyway, though.
