from what i recall they said it had greatly reduced enmity, i think it has 'enmity generation varies with tp'. it definitely has reduced enmity, i dunno if its less/more or how its different from namas(or coro), if someone can explain to me how to setup a nice controlled scenario for testing i can get one of my friends to test WF vs namas with me
You can quantify the CE of Wildfire using this test:
1) Go to Abyssea Tahrongi or Attohwa or Altepa on COR-or-RNG/WHM wearing PDT gear with a RDM/BRD friend that has Phalanx II, don't put on super DD Atma so you avoid one-shotting stuff.
2) Find an EM Mandy.
3) Buff up. Prot V, Phalanx II for both players. Make sure that you don't have any net Enmity+/-. You can't take damage.
4) Note your TP, and Wildfire to pull. (200 CE + ???)
5) Have your RDM friend Threnody/Carol/whatever until they get and keep hate. If it is the same hate as Namas (160 CE), this will take 3 Threnodies (100CE each) and 3 Carols that hit one target (20 CE per target).
6) Once the RDM has hate, cast Cure on him for 0 HP (1 CE each) until you take hate back. It is important to wait for his VE to fully decay before you start doing this. ~15 seconds should be enough.
** If you take Hate back on the first Cure for 0 HP, Cure him again and then have him Cure himself for 0 HP until the monster goes back to him. When the monster switches back the second time, your enmity is equal.
Also, don't waste time trying to guess the exact enmity value off the bat. I'd use my rough ballpark above, but then threnody it up if the monster hasn't changed hate by then so you can figure out where the Enmity value is within 100. Kill the monster, find another, repeat the test.
War/Sam using a 504 delay weapon with 33 sTP for a 5-hit -> how much sTP do I need in my ws set to keep a 5-hit while using Ukko's Fury?
13.7 TP/hit * 1.48 (you mean 33 STP in gear, right?) = 20.2 TP/hit
20.2 TP/hit *4 = 80.8
(100-80.8 )=19.2 TP return from WS
If you assume only one hit, you'd need to WS in:
19.2/13.7-.15=26 STP in gear
If you assume two hits (very safe on WAR if you have capped Acc), you'd need to WS in:
(19.2-1.3)/13.7-.15 = 16 STP in gear
Rajas, Brutal, and Rose are all things I'm assuming from your +33 from gear, so you'd only need 6 past that. If your 6 also includes Carbonara, I'd say you're safe.
Also, if you're using Raging Rush it's actually pretty safe to assume two hits. You could probably drop an STP in your TP build without having to add anything to your WS build.
yeah my sTP gear is rose strap, hoard, rajas, brutal, goading, tactical mantle, af3+2 body for 33 sTP.
Ive been wsing in grim cuirass, probably be best to ws in af3+2 body to cover the needed sTP right?
Two questions: I'm DRG/SAM using 492 delay lances (vougiers, then rhongomiant when it's finished) will have +2 body in 2 cards, hoard ring, rajas ring, brutal earring, goading belt for +25 STP from gear. How much more do I need for my 5 hit? Do I need both white tath and rose strap? I was at 19 per hit with what I have now.
Second, does less than 200 or 300% TP effect a WS over 100%? For example, if I WSd at 100% TP with TP Bonus+25, does that change anything? I'm trying to figure out what to do with my moonshade earring, or do you just need to TP up to 175 and then use it for it to make a difference. Also, does it effect physical blue magic?
All the people asking about sTP: http://www.ffxicalculator.com/ - Statistics -> Delay -> plug and go; lets you tweak your set up without having to ask here and waiting for a response.
I don't understand what you are asking about TP bonus. If you're asking if TP bonus can bump you up an aftermath level, (ie: ws at 175% and get 200% aftermath) no it can't.
Two days late, but:
I assume you're referring to the comparison I attempted back in March (which was specifically about Masamune SAM with Hasso/Haste/Marches, rather than WAR without Marches). I had a few responses, but not as much as I had hoped.
If you have any input to improve the comparsion, I'd honestly love to hear it.
Could a Nin (Kikoku, tho lolMetsu), Uko War and a WHM trio Mildaunegeux, assuming all extensions have been obtained and holding damage until landing a proc? I haven't touched the NM since I got my attestation for my Katana, and that was several years ago ;-/ ...
I'm also curious if anyone knows whether a proc locks all 3 2HRs, or only 1...
I think you're better off adding almah or wtath during tp, and then you can WS in normal ws gear (just need rajas, rose, brutal for ws). Better still would be to eat carb, then you can swap out tactical for atheling, and still WS in just rajas, rose, brutal.
Hmm, maybe that is what started it which would be even more ridiculous since it is a different job. I thought someone did one for ukon too though, where they compared RCB 6 hit to carb 5 hit with marches, and then people started applying it to 504 delay gaxes, situations without marches, etc.
I'm asking if there's any difference between WSing at 100 and 125 TP basically. Or do only 200 and 300 make a difference.
This list is NOT 100% accurate.
Example: Your link does not contain Cat's Eye as one of the prohibited items to send between characters on the same account.
This one is: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/th...Version-Update
Thanks, I knew they posted the list two times, but wasn't sure if they were different. Didn't really bother to check.
Ukonvasara warrior: I augmented a pair of Hecatomb Mittens +1 with 4STR 3ACC 2Crit DMG, is it worth trying to get a higher crit when I could lose the str?
Couple questions about war set bonus:
Can it proc on WS?
Can it proc on war charge's?
Does it proc on both hits of the double attack or only the second one?
If it procs on both, do they have separate chances to proc or is it 100% ODD on both hits if it procs?
@Above, I'm unsure of how the synergy system works, but doesn't it give you the option to choose if you want to keep the previous set of augments or the new one?
So Ive never really used spellcast before but I recently started looking into it to optimize sets/swaps on my pld (and other jobs just starting with pld). One question I have though is how do you handle swapping to mdt/pdt sets? Do you have to type in the command to make it switch or is there a way to make it swap for you when you're being cast on, or is there another program required to do that?
Has anyone done any testing officially on demonry's ring? I currently use it along with epona's for all of my TP sets for MNK,THF,DNC,BLU,BST, but if it's a 1% /meh....
