does anyone have exp. with this? im curious as to how long it took before a ban is generally overturned or deemed perm.

any info regaurding the length of time someoen had to wait would be appreciated.

The vast majority of legitimate appeals disappear into the depths of SE's bad customer service reps. I have heard of only a few cases of overturning bans, all where there was easily demonstrable foul play on the part of the GMs. If you're banned, you're banned.

Took two weeks to get my two banned accounts unbanned. Rep filed "ban complaint" or whatever.

was banned for making a joke at the expense of a guy after he and i had a argument about being a dick in abyssea. stupid stupid reason, but long story short i /seacom'd his name with a joke and he GM'd for it. i started a second char but i really dont wanna waste alot of time if i can get my other account back. sounds like it isn't going to matter though

Also, if it was an accidental ban (like the gardening) you will likely still get a GM who thinks he's doing "the God's work" by banning cheaters and won't actually care to help you. Because truthfully, the guys who were banned for cheating and the guys who were banned by accident both sound the same when they're talking to a GM....

As to Zouri, that's very likely a "who you know" kind of unbanning. I know a few people who have been able to bypass the "GM Wall of silence" and go straight to people @ SE and get bans overturned pretty quickly. They're a company like anyone else, if you know your way around.

Supposedly yes, but very very few. Salvage bans were srs business to SE.

my cousin was LM-17ed for minor issue(to him lol) for shouting nigger in DA and made a mule called blackestman

I personally feel that they should unban him, letting such ignorance escape out into the real world does more harm than it does to the dull-minded majority of the video game community.

You, like the guy Arthars mentioned, are royally screwed. You surely had other warnings on your account (as you wouldn't be banned outright without prior violations), and they're likely ancient ones you've forgotten about -- years old, possibly. You've reached your third strike, and you're out.

Try if you'd like, but I would be extremely surprised if it were reversed.

I got a 3 hour temp ban for calling someone a Jew in shout back in the day..if you harrassed him even in seacom and got LM-17 then you fucked up more than once as Kohan said.

its possible i could have been GM'd long ago, but im thinking more likely is my friend who had access to my account during a pretty large break. no matter. im gonna keep at SE to get it unbanned if possible and continue working on my new account now.. with any luck i can get back up to cap soon and just forget the whole messy thing.

unless you have relics/empy's if you take all the time that you're going to be at them about this and lvl'd a new char. You could have multiple 90s and working/finished an empy by the time you get a yes/no. I'd only really fight it if I had relic(s), mythic(s) or if I knew someone in the SE framework that I could personally contact. Still goodluck to you.

Above posters are correct, I've been banned before and known many people who have been as well. The only ones able to overturn it know someone who is willing to break the rules for them or look the other way. Which is probably about 1-2% of the player base.

it isn't about the gear or anything well... actually it is but it just annoys the hell outta me to have it happen considering how bad some other people are and what they do/say to others and they dont even get a slap on the wrist. take the guy i made lulz at for instance this guy cussed me up one side and down the other in /s /sh /t and not a thing was done. am i mad that nothing happened not really, but i do think something should have. i even talked to the guy afterwards the next day from a new account and he apologized for GMing me and all that which was nice but it isn't gonna bring back years and years of work. :/

I feel ya, I got banhammered back in late 06 early 07. Spent nearly 45 days fighting with GM's on my mule and SE reps which all ended in flustration. I just rerolled and came back. With help from friends and the like I got back into form quickly. I do wish you luck but if you have a good ls and friends willing to help. You'll be back in no time, but i fully realize your sentiment. Giving up on something you spent years working on just sucks donkey balls -_-.

How do you actually go through the process of filing a ban complaint? Can I do it myself or would I have to go through a rep?
