How do you actually go through the process of filing a ban complaint? Can I do it myself or would I have to go through a rep?

you just gotta contact SE support. i did it via chat they have you verify your account info and then write out a statement which they file as the ban appeal. process is pretty easy. to bad by all accounts they do nothing about it.

Oh never mind then, it would most likely be a waste of time since 90% of the SE Reps have no idea.
Back in December, 1 Rep told me I had a 72 hour suspension and I would be able to log in after that, I couldn't log in after the 3 days so I contacted them again and I was told it was actually a 9 day Suspension (which I have never even heard of), and then the 3rd time I was told it's a permanent ban and cannot be reversed.

But regardless of my experience, good luck on getting your account back

most bans are issued as temp suspensions then review after, so thats not unusual.
