Need some tips on this new phone

I stepped into the pool the other day oblivious to the fact that my phone was still in my pocket, thus submerging the phone. After all the tears were wiped from my face I decided that it was a good time to move into the future and get my first smart phone. After dropping the 250 on a new T-Mobile® G2x™ with Google™ and renewing a 2 year contract, I now have a new high tech toy. My question(s) to you guys is this:

What is a good remote access app?
If I want to transfer files thru wifi what are good apps for that?
Is dropbox as bad ass as I hear or is there something better?

I am an tech geek so if anyone has any suggestions that will allow me to have fun with my new phone please let me know.

First off let me apologize for the premature post as I have had a lot of alcohol tonight and I need to to use spellchecker often. My fault for not looking, I get excited easily. FYI jager bombs are awesome, also vodka and redbull.

Allow me to rephrase the question into something more technical, Keep in mind this phone was publicly released about 3 weeks ago in the US. I have done a search within BG on the G2x and android 2.2.2 which is the latest android software. There are apps I have downloaded from the android market and they go weird on me or not work. I even try to buy something like a Live wallpaper and it simply cancels the transaction. I see no thread dedicated to technical issue with android-based phones, just mods and such, so if there is please direct me to it. Also, I am curious with this phone. If I play something like need for speed on it, the sound kicks ass, but if I go on you-tube, or go do some other media related item, the sound drops significantly. I wonder if someone can direct me to a fix for something like this, or maybe help me solve the issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Do not purchase a G2x yet, we just removed it from the upgrade list temporarily. Tons of problems with the phone randomly power cycling itself right now. I own our G2 and Galaxy 4G, while I prefer the G2 as a phone, the Galaxy 4G is more friendly for people that want to customize/root the device.
