So Sinestro makes Hal his bitch AND totally shows him up by fixing a bridge and fucking that yellow lantern up. This is better than all the other Lantern books going since the reboot, but something about it just seems off

Suicide Squad

I was really looking forward to this series, maybe because of Harley Quinn. She just does not work well in this book. The other characters, save Deadshot, can all die. Since it is Suicide Squad and 2 "members" have died in 2 books, I'm assuming they will. Prolly that dumb fire guy first then spider slayer or whoever. I'm not sure I will go past book 3 on this though.

Batgirl

It starts off really well. The story moves very fluidly. Then it just speeds up out of nowhere, Batgirl figures out the villains name and his secret identity in just a couple of pages. Batgirl also swings herself into a cab which seems like it would hurt her a lot more than it did. Also, did I need to be told she is smart every 3 pages? I got it already.

Batwoman

Everything about the book, I liked. It has been top 3 of the new 52 for me. That being said, it says Batman, Inc. exists which means it takes place at a different time. Which is my big complaint about the new 52, nothing seems to be in any chronological order. For someone like myself who doesn't keep up on all things DC over the years, it leaves me confused.

I'll apologize now for the huge wall of text lol.

Decided to try and get into the dc universe so picked up some of the new 52 releases. As someone who has never read any of the previous stories I feel some of them worked in pulling me into the story while others ill stay away from.

Batman and Robin was interesting just because I wanna see how Batman is gonna handle his crazy little son lol. From what I read Robin wants to help him out he just does it in his own way which Batman really doesnt approve of.

Green Lantern ill wanna pick up again but you can tell there's loads of back story that's probably not gonna get explained. Like I didn't know Hal was discharged from the corp. I didn't know who that lady was that knew about him being a lantern and it seems she has a ring of her own? Then there was the Sinestro corps still active even though Sinestro is now a Green Lantern. Did they think he was dead or they just figured they would be contacted if they were needed?

Batgirl was really funny. I wasn't expecting any jokes at all but what they wrote in made me laugh a bunch. I also felt for her every hit she took I thought she was gonna end up back in the chair she seemed so frail but she just kept on getting back up.

Batwoman was interesting. I don't know if shes a new character or what but besides being freakishly pale shes pretty cool. I guess Batman wants her to be part of some team but shes on the fence atm.

Detective Comics has to be my favorite so far. I felt like it had the most story out of any of the other books I read. It's only 2 books in but it already feels like it made more progress then any of the others I read besides Batgirl.

I feel like I have to many Bat-related books lol any other characters you guys can suggest that would be a good read? Was gonna try Red Hood and Teen Titans and Justice League maybe.

The books I've really liked so far are Batwoman, Flash, Aquaman, and I, Vampire. Other ones I'm prolly not continuing after reading the first 1 or 2 issues.

Red Hood was awful imo. And not for the Starfire reason alone.

Justice League and Teen Titans are fine, and I may pick up Teen Titans #2, I'm just not sold on it yet for various reasons.

Men of War, Mister Terrific, O.M.A.C., Hawk and Dove, Blackhawks and Static Shock all ending with issue 8.

They will be replaced by Batman Incorporated, along with Earth 2, World's Finest, Dial H, G.I. Combat and The Ravagers.

I'm kind of thinking about getting into Superboy, just for Fairchild... I hope DC brings back Gen13 in the New 52, the way they describe this new "Ravagers" book it could possibly be that...

They did mention Gen13 in passing in the most recent Superboy. Reading it with Teen Titans makes 1 decent book. Alone both are kinda eh.

Just glad I, Vampire are Voodoo are staying. WILDC.A.T.S. will happen yet!

Before the reboot, Batman Inc. was the best bat-book out there. If it's still going to be written by Grant Morrison, it will be the best once again. I don't even read any of the other bat titles because they're so awful.

I like Batman by Scott Snyder. Batman and Robin isn't bad either. Detective Comics and The Dark Knight are ugh.
For the offshoots, Batwoman is fucking great. Dont read the others.

Oops my bad, in my mind Batwoman wasn't part of the bat-titles lol. It's one of my favorite DC books.
