Yeah they were kind of unsure about doing a 9th season, but I guess the network decided for them.

Also holy hell at that last episode. It was fun watching Shawn and Gus switch roles.

I thought seasons 6 and 7 on the whole were trending downward. Some really good EPs but yeah, I think this is for the best.

The shows creators are actually working on a new series that just got the greenlight from USA Networks. I am starting to wonder if there was some type of negotiation where the network would only allow the new series if they canceled Psych.

Also, I understand why they ended the show. From the afterparty, the cast shared their thoughts and feelings on the ending, seemed like they were just exhausting their supply of ideas and wanted to end the show before it started going in the shitter... Ending on a high note.
