Its most likely overscaling.

Depending on which version of Catalyst you are using, the setting is not easily found.

Right Click one of the displays. Choose configure, Scaling Options. Drag control to happiness.

Is cataclyst required after that adjustment is made? W/ Vista, I was able to just use the video driver itself. I don't care much for CCC

I would think if you weren't using catalyst at all the issue wouldn't have happened in the first place, but I can't be sure.

edit: the only reason i use it is to bump my fan speed up. stock speeds let my card run to hot.

Nah, I had the problem last night and then Raggy told me I should download CCC. I forgot what he told me to do in it cause I fell asleep and my computer restarted cause of auto updates.

I'd give it a shot, maybe it makes an adjustment that's saved on the card and you will be fine.

Worst case scenario you gotta reinstall immediately after

Quicklaunch was the first thing I put back in my taskbar, google how to.

Also, youre probably going to regret not doing a full reinstall down the road, a lot of issues will arise. Make sure everything really is backedup, and wipe that shit clean.

I formatted/fresh installed the C drive to get Vista off. Left the D drive as it was.

previous directories not saving very well and popping up randomly.

Any way to get them to come up as a sure thing? Saving a pic for example and then trying to upload it to facebook can be a pain now having to go to where its at every time.

There a fix for this? beginning to hate 7 more every minute, lol

All of these issues are most likely the result of an upgrade installation. Your windows 7 experience is going to be far from nice with this type of installation

Man up and move all your files to your other partition and perform a clean installation.

from what I can tell he did, seems like he just doesn't like the features. The columns disappear when not in details view because they're the details, I don't know why they'd be there otherwise. If you want to sort the files when not in details just right-click and use sort-by and group-by. I usually have my image folders sorted by "Date Modified" which is under "More..." in the right-click>sort-by menu because it sorts them in the order they're added to the folder; newest to oldest or reverse.

You can try adding the directories you're uploading from to your pictures library or if not, add a shortcut to the directory you're looking for to the sidebar in windows explorer where it has Favorites/Desktop/Recent Places etc., by dragging the folder there.

I just don't see why they're removing features. It was always available before. Clicking up top was always faster than right click > sort by > pick here.

I can see making things optional, but they've just removed a lot of shit here in general and I'm not liking it, lol. (maybe if they removed it and put in something more functional in its place, but just removing it for no reason, bleh)

what exactly are you saying disappeared? the bar which sorts your files? I've never seen it stay when you switch from details to icons, even as far back as XP (which I'm on at work)

Strange, pretty sure the bar was still there when I was doing it on Vista.

All in all, very disappointed w/ the "upgrade" >24 hrs into it.

As far as your location history being cleared, try this:

Right click the 'Taskbar', click 'Properties' > select the 'Start Menu' tab > click 'Customize' > in the dialog displayed, check off the appropriate menu link, 'Recent Items'

^ That's for the Start Menu item "Recent Items" - shows up above Computer.

The Previous Locations thing may work if you navigate to the folder using a different method (have to use the buttons/drop down in the address bar, not click icons). According to this it worked like that in Vista too.
