Despite what Walt said to Gus about Jesse, I think that Walt would ditch him in a heartbeat if he was pushed any harder than he was. He damn near said it himself : "Did you think I would just roll over and die?" and then goes on to say that if Gus kills Jesse, Gus losses Walt... bullshit. Walt knows that if he lets himself become useless to Gus, that he's dead, Jesse or no Jesse. We've also seen Walt's selfish nature in the past.

I agree with the idea that it's eventually gonna be Jesse vs Walt, and they're going to be contending for Gus's favor with the loser being dead weight (literally). Gus is going to play that angle since he saw (as was stated above) that Jesse's reaction to him calmly murdering Victor was so calm etc. Recall last season when Walt finally confessed to Jesse that his meth was "as good as mine". Couple that with Victor's monologue about a fixed recipe, and I think we have a very interesting season ahead of us full of suspicions and, very likely, betrayals.

The best part is that even if I'm wrong (as I have been in the past), speculating on this show is just so much fun. ^^

I don't believe for a second that Walt would betray Jesse in a heartbeat. If it were that simple he would have let Gus kill him last season and not killed two dealers pissing everyone off. I don't disagree that the two will likely end up at odds again, but Gus also hates doing business with a drug addict and only indulges Jesse for Walt's sake.

I feel like it's building up to Gus vs. Heisenberg with Walt fully embracing his role as the bad guy.

It's pretty clear Walt sees Jesse as a son. No friend would do or say the shit he does to a junkie unless he cared. He's like a father who wants to push his son to his most potential.

This 100%. Walt has experienced more life changing events with him than he has with his own family blood in such a short time. There's definitely a bond

edit: I know not all episodes can be 100% awesome, and this is only the start of the season, but I"m finding this episode to be a bit boring and bland.

I thought it was a good episode. The season is still uncoiling with the consequences of everything. Everyone around Walt is shittier because of Walt. I love the exhaustion Mike feels just to be around him.

several of the episodes are named after weapons/weapon related things. After the whole Seven Thirty Seven, Down, Over, ABQ thing I'm wondering if theres gonna be anything hidden in these, or if it's just a theme.

Ellesworth from Deadwood as the gun dealer! I thought it was a good episode, it showed how Walt & Jesse were coping with what unfolded last episode. Not every episode can have someone getting whacked.

Loved the scene where mike kicked the shit out of walt in the bar, I was not expecting that. I wonder if he's going to tell gus about the encounter, or realize walt is right and its just a matter of time before its mike throat is being cut. I can't forsee a scenario in which that would happen to mike, short of him going along with walt's plan. He definitely seems loyal to gus though. Next week's episode should definitely be interesting.

I don't think Mike is interested in overthrowing Gus and doesn't take Walt seriously in his attempts. Walt played his hand and Mike wasn't impressed. He's not a guy who's being oppressed by Gus or living in tyranny, he just wants to do his job, and people like Walt just keep making that harder for him to do.

Jeese is messed up. Seems the killing infront of him really got to him. The gun scene with Walt was great.

I knew Jesse was fucked up when he sat up straight during the throat slitting, but holy crap. He's definitely not coming back from this one, especially after shooting Gale in the face haha.

Loving the new season but one thing bugged me about the recent episode. When Walt was putting on the hat outside Gus's house, he seemed to milk it a lot more as if he was "transforming" and I get it that's the point, but I think that scene just bugged me a little lol.

I'm fucking hating schyler's character more and more every episode. She is just such a raging twat about everything. I hate that they pigeon holed her into this naggy self centered cunt, that's what every scene with her in boils down to.

I love that Marie is acting out now. Nobody likes Skyler. I think she's a fantastic character.
